Exactly...Her "dont throw your afro in front of my face" comment was a real wincer. Its just so sad that someone as entrenched in loving his culture/heritage can also be dismissed just for having an open mind. Its bad enough when predjudices are one race Vs. another, but within a race, it just tears them down even further, probably worse to a certian degree.... Its kind of like a comedian I heard the other night who said, 'We all need to mix until we become the same gray color. Then we can get rid of all this bigotry and hate people for all the right reasons- their personalities.'

Maybe I'm taking this out of context, but I recall Nicole making a comment to Malik about how irrational it is for him to get along with a white guy who supports George W. Bush. That mentality will break down lots of barriers. Keep the walls up Nicole; continue to plug your ears at the first instance of an opposing viewpoint. She claims about how no one knows about where she comes from, but apparently two people with opposing political viewpoints have no business getting along with each other. "I'm gonna be pissed that no one understands me, but you shouldn't try to understand me because I know we don't agree on certain things." Yeeokay.

We actually turned off the show. It's just too much racial crap going on. It's the same deal over and over...closed mindedness....RW X is no longer being viewed in our house.

I agree. The Real World has always had it's share of feuding housemembers, but has never focused so much on race issues before. It gets old pretty quick. Past seasons have had much more entertaining feuds then this. I haven't been watching a lot of the episodes and usually end up turning them because I get fed up with the race stuff being shoved down my throat. One episode would have been plenty.

I think they need to Take Coral and Nicole and put them in a house with an African-British, or whatever Black People are called in Britain, which by the way is nothing. The asians have a tougher time in the UK.

But I would love to see the two of them come on with all the blackness with Sharon from the london cast and have Sharon smack them into oblivion.

It is so obvious that they are both the most close minded people on the show.

Malik's has gone way up in my estimation, not that I ever thought he was bad.

He is my fave,

Road Rules is turning out to be more entertaining than Real World this year. I love that reverse prejudice, though. Nicole is such a shallow person, it's kinda fun watching her making an idiot of herself on national television.

The episode on the 14th was a good one I think. Much less of the whole racial problems in the house and more with the jobs. The reaction of the first group to the poster (cracking up) was pretty funny...

i liked the last episode too. i for one actually kinda liked that song that they played at the focus group. and it was nice to have a non-racial episode although it's sad how those show seems to have turned into a sex battle (boys v. girls)

as for the lori singing audition, i'm not quite sure as to why those guys were so excited. it didn't seem like she was that good. although for someone who sounds like she hasn't had much musical training, it wasn't bad.

Lori's new band is probably using her for some face time.

You guys notice the preview for this Tuesday? Apparently the two black girls cause Rachel to cry, lol. Guess she was too white for their taste, who knows. Should be interesting.

Well, she thinks she can sing and they think they can play, so together, they are perfect for each other. That band plays what I call "nowhere music", its not quite blues, its not quite sould, its not quite rock, the kind of stuff that always goes nowhere and can only get people with no acute discernable taste to listen to it.

The Lori Singing episode was great... she is awful, but the band didn't sound that good anyway.

They are probably using her for her Real World Celebrity. She would have made that band regardless of how bad she sucked (obviously). She is in there to sell more tickets with a fairly attractive female singer, and to give the band some national TV pub from RWX. Pretty soon, the name of the band will probably be on national TV, and their gigs will probably be partially shown on RWX.

If it was my band and we were going nowhere fast, I would put her on there to at least shake a tambourine, sing, or do whatever she wanted.

Just an afterthought: I think Rachel looks really good in the intro to the Real World. I mean, she's just really nice looking in that shot.

I think that is one of the most truthful statements I've ever read.

I think Rachel is pretty damn amazing looking. She's really cute, got a great figure, and seems really friendly. Plus, she seems to be into the same bands that I'm into.

looked to me like they overreacted to not getting outkast tickets. i suppose that they were just jealous because they didn't get to go. but as you say, who knows? it definitely should be interesting. right now, nicole and coral look sooooooo bad

In the current dictionary, look up "Beeyotch" and you'll find photos of Coral and Nicole by the word.

Here's a thought, actually two. Every time, we see Lori in the house talking, she's also either eating. Why is that? And wouldn't it be funny if Lori suddenly started singing/screaming like a guy from Linkin Park? I wonder if Mike would like her singing then?

I think Blacks have become our own worst enemy. HOW DARE those two Bitches( they're both still hot looking and I would do them both ) tell Malik who he can and cannot date!!!!

They're worse than any KKK member or Nazi prick in that they are PERPETUATING the SLAVE MINDSET in that a Black man or woman MUST fall into lockstep with everyone else.

Has anyone else noticed that the almost --all--- the so called STRONG BLACK WOMEN on the REAL WORLD ....DON'T HAVE MEN OF THER OWN!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?! and insist on telling others how to run their lovelife????? Remember Kamila(sp?) from RW Boston?????

There's a reason for this fact and it's PAINFULLY obvious why......

I loved tonight's episode - more of the same. The two Hateful Ho's (tm) gang up on Rachel, sit on their ass while everyone else works and demand rewards based upon their lies instead of performance.

"We were on our way to work" - lol. Right, that's the shot where you two shopped for new clothes then took a nap on the couch. Tough job, I'm sure.

"We didn't clock all our overtime cause that's against our morals" - hehe. The two guys running that section of Arista aren't idiots, they either see you at work, or see you goofing off. Especially if you're VOCAL about hating work, now that's bad.

Nicole and Coral get their just rewards, great episode!

I feel bad for the remainder of their house, that this once in a lifetime experience that should be fun, is ruined by a couple of Hateful Ho's (tm).

Obviously putting 2 black girls...or should I say 2 bi-racial girls who have serious identity issues and only accept the WORST PARTSof the BLACK CULTURE (bitchiness, laziness, and the break others down rather than lift them up attitudes) was a GOOD MOVE in terms of adding some REAL DRAMA to the series this season...... but I must ay it again.

They are both hot mocha POA's or should I say PANTY DROPPERS !

I loved how Nicole said that she was sitting in front of the computer typing but not really doing anything, then 10 minutes later she was saying that she works as hard as everyone else.

This episode was good, I'll agree. I love how Nicole and Coral both go up to the bosses (who always seem to be wearing turtlenecks) and basically beg for OutKast tickets. They sounded like little kids Their bosses' faces basically seemed to say, "Kissing butt won't help you now. Go to work." oh well, at least, it wasn't an episode about them yelling at Mike.

And it looks like we're in for more crying with Rachel especially with that bully comment about Coral.

I don't think Coral was going to beg for the tickets. Coral was pretty much out the door when Nicole brought it up. Coral doesn't seem like the type to want to ask for anything.

I think the preview was a hint that Rachel might actually start to stand up to them next week, or at least show hints of that.
