Well, I'll demo it for the Psych movie but that's about all I can see on there.

Peacock launches nationally July 15th

Peacock, the streaming service being rolled out by NBCUniversal and Comcast, will arrive April 15 on Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and Flex video platforms before a national launch on July 15.

It will come in three versions: a free, ad-supported one; a more robust, ad-supported one that will be free to Comcast and Cox Cable subscribers, and $5 for everyone else; and an offering with no ads that is $5 for Comcast and Cox subscribers and $10 for everyone else.

The service will have an “early bird” launch in April for subscribers of X1 and Flex, which account for a majority of total subscribers to the No. 1 U.S. cable operator. The national rollout comes just before the July 24 start of the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, which offers the company a large promotional megaphone. A bundled arrangement with Comcast and Cox Cable will also kick in at that time, making Peacock available in 24 million homes.

The Olympic stuff will be a good draw if they are able to stream all the events live.

Not interested in paying with the lackluster content at this point.

I'll probably use the ad supported version when it launches.

I am interested in the exclusive live Olympic coverage.

and it's cool to finally see OG Law and Order finally be available for streaming. Same goes with L&O Criminal Intent.

Since I'll get to sample this free on 4/15, I'll probably see how much I use it before I decide to pay for an ad free version.

Peacock has acquired the streaming rights to Kevin Costner’s series Yellowstone.

Looks like Peacock is acquiring non NBC or Universal licensed content like they also did with Two and a Half Men.

Nice that Cox customers get it for free with ads. That should be enough for me.

Certainly the SNL episodes you can buy on Amazon and other sites always cut the musical numbers.

Ok but you said specifically that stuff is being cut from the Hulu next day airs and I was correcting your misinformation.

They are cut on my cable On Demand Cox Contour service as well. I am surprised that they are included on Hulu

re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

For some reason, I have very little interest in this. And I'm usually excited about new streaming services. Maybe it's the price. $10/month seems too high. I'd probably be more hyped if it was around $6.

Also, the library feels stale. All those shows have previously been available on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon. Either I've already watched it, or I have no interest in it. And I already own those movies. It would be nice if they could dig up some cool unreleased or obscure catalog stuff.

Xfinitity dude here...also put a smile on my face that I can get the ad version for free (I am guessing it is a version with “limited” ads vs what non Cox/Xfinity customers will put up with when they sign up). Heck, once I am back in the swing of things with a new job I might take advantage of the Xfinity/Cox promo ad free $5 price which is fair enough if it stays at the promo price for at least a year.

Yeah I have Comcast too so I guess I’ll just stay with the free version..

looks like nothing about 4K has been mentioned yet.

NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming service is launching later this month, but many of its original series have been pushed back to 2021

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I'm an Xfinity customer and Comcast hasn't clued anyone in to the fact that this is launching tomorrow (meaning emailing customers or mailing out flyers, etc...I know there are plenty of news stories)...I'm guessing because they want this to be a rather soft launch as most of the material is just going to be catalog.

This is officially up today for anyone here who happens to be a Comcast customer.

As of right now, the official national roll out isn't until July. But, it could change.
