Holding out for the "Buy $100 of snacks, get $7 Prime Video Credit". I had no idea how popular these promos are. Just not a very attractive offer to me.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Got my credit very easy this month. 1st time without needing to contact Customer service. I did something different this time. I streamed all titles via the same streaming device (Smart TV not miss of that and Roku).

The email had only 1 button and took me to just the Cheezit credits.

To check balance I had to open a title (example Studio 60) and click "Redeem Gift Card or Promotion". There it shows the credit (example presently I have $2 No rush and $15 Cheezits).

Thanks!! That works. I had $24.50 in No Rush Rewards and my total here is $29.50, so it looks like I got it after all.

Sorry, should have mentioned this.
But, if you go back to the September discussion, others indicated that it appears the Cheez-it portion of the reward also shows under Prime Video.

I can confirm that if you do buy one of the qualifying Cheez-its the credit comes out of the Prime Video. And I think others confirmed that the cheez-it portion did not come off for video purchases. i.e. couldn't use $10 of Cheez-it & Prime on something over $5, only the $5 came off.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

For Prime members, there's a number of 99 cent per month for 2 month channels currently on offer for Prime Day, including: Epix, PBS Masterpiece, UMC, Up Faith & Family, Lifetime Movie Club, Pantya, Sundance Now, PBS Documentaries, Motortrend, H vault, A&E Crime central and MovieSphere.

The odd thing about MovieSphere is that I can't find that channel in the channel filters available for Prime Video.
Edit: You can find what movies are available in MovieSphere by searching it in the search field when it's set to Prime Video.

Anyone know how to use these balances? I just bought an MP3 album that I thought would be paid partially with a 5.00 credit I have, but it says my balance is still 5.00.

If you've ever done the Cheez-it promo, I suspect that the $5 cheez-it credit (as opposed to the video credit) shows up as $5 in digital balances erroneously.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

I got two Cheez-It notifications, one with a product list, so maybe the other is the video credit?

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Yep just speaking with support and they said "I'm sorry *me*, I've checked and there is no active $5 promotional credits for Amazon MP3."
"I've checked and see that the $5 Promotion is only for Retail orders and not for a Digital orders."

I've asked them to remove it from my promo balances because it's misleading to say the least and I do use the digital credit for regular shipping sometimes.

I've now wasted much more than 5$ worth of time on this promo.

You'd think it'd be easier, and more customer friendly, to just give me the five bucks at this point.

And I apparently didn't respond quickly enough, or shift changed, because my first rep dropped and now I'm talking to someone new. And basically repeating everything.

Now they want me to go through like I'm ordering a video, and I don't remember if it gives me a final confirmation.

He pushed me to do it, turns out there's not a final confirmation. so I bought the movie. Hopefully the cancel will go through and I'll get a refund quickly.

Now they sent me a cheezit reward.
And sent me the info on it. That's not my f'ing problem.

And now they're forwarding it to another team. Jesus Christ.

Interesting to know how many people bought digital stuff thinking they have a credit and they actually don't.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

I scrolled through it, it doesn’t look like it’s in HD. Or to be more specific, the HD remaster that’s been on HBO and the likes.

Starz and Showtime is now part of this, too, for Prime Day.

I went ahead and took advantage of this offer for Showtime and Epix (already have Starz).

The thing about Epix is 80% of the films they have are already one's you can watch with a Prime Membership, though that's a really good deal if you want to watch any Epix Original shows.

That's because EPIX has a split licensing agreement to show some of their movies on Prime video and Hulu. Eventually that deal will end at some point. Only thing is you don't get any of their original series like Pennyworth or Godfather of Harlem.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Any Amazon Prime Canada subscribers who've been on the fence about watching any of the Scream movies or Sin City should note that those titles now have a warning saying they're leaving the service on October 31st.

I really wish they would put this warning on the thumbnail so you don't have to click on the title to see it.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

So maybe I'm the only one who's been ignorant of this, but I just learned that there's some live programming available on Prime Video. Go to Primve Video -> Channels -> Channel Guide, and you get listings for what's playing live on about a dozen channels (IIUC, some are available to anyone with Prime, some may require a channel subscription). Press on one of the channels and you can watch the live programming.

Learned about this while learning that there will be a marathon of Remember WENN (an old comedy/drama about an old time radio station that, AFAIU, has never been available on DVD or streaming) on the AMC Presents channel this Wednesday.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Cool! I've seen they had some live sports but didn't know they had other live programming. I was just talking about Remember WENN the other day and yes, I don't think it's ever had an official release, at least not in a very long time. I'll try to check it out.

Finished Utopia last week. Very cool, very weird, very (too) timely.
