The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread
Noticed a few older movies available for cheap on Amazon, probably for Halloween:
The Old Dark House $4.99
Them! $5.99 (MA-eligible)
The Thing From Another World $5.99 (MA-eligible)
Trying to decide if I should buy Them! and The Thing to upgrade my SD copies, since they're a couple of my favorite classic SF movies.

Yeah I just saw that story. A similar story came out a few years ago about iTunes digital content. I recall some people here had a near heart attack thinking they could lose their content at any point.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread
I'm not terribly concerned about losing a movie. As far as I know, the only instance of something like this happening was when they removed copies of 1984 because the publisher didn't have the rights to it. And after it was all over, the end result was that they returned the book to people.
I'm far more concerned about a digital store going under and losing all my content. Though fortunately, Movies Anywhere protects much of my collection from that.

Looks like Prime's TV season samplers from various channels for November is available early.
It includes: Great Courses' America's Founding Fathers, Jamestown, Before We Die, The George Burns and Gracie Allen show, Crime 360, etc.

I didn’t get the video credit last time or the Amazon Prime day $10 credit for buying something at Whole Foods.

Yeah, I'm not bothering. I will say I enjoyed Psych and Stargate Atlantis a lot, and Suits is good too. I do have House and Teen Wolf on my backlog, but I'm not planning to watch them now.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread
I have an extra iPhone that’s about 5 years old so I’ll just drop Suits into that and let it run all day.

The Monthly Cheez-it promotion is up. 15 hours of Leading Men (just in time for Father's Day???)

They probably meant International Men's Day which is November 19.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread
Interesting. I wonder if these are more tailored in some way now. The Cheezit promotion I am getting is not what you guys mentioned. Also don't see Psych or Suits in my list based on the theme shown to me.

What's with Amazon Prime?
I am watching The Saint tv series w/Roger Moore (as far as I know it's available for free for Prime members) now all of a sudden it's asking me to pay for episodes.
WTF
Just recently they did the same for the Donna Reed Show. It's supposed to be free and they try to charge money for viewing episodes.

All 6 seasons are free to watch with ads via IMDB TV. You probably selected the paid version.

Still Donna Reed Show was free with Amazon Prime and for a few weeks only an episode here and there were free and they were trying to charge me to watch the other episodes. Donna Reed Show is available for free on Tubi TV (w/ads).

Everytime I start watching a tv series it get's pulled or moved.
Good thing I bought The Saint Complete Series on dvd a few years ago. I stream it so I don't have to bother messing with the dvd's but I went back to the dvd's last night.
It still doesn't answer the question about Donna Reed Show when they were charging for some but not all episodes.
They need to add the final three seasons.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread
So I got a Cheez-it reward (just the cheez-it reward, not the video reward). Hilariously, I didn't bother trying this month, so I assume it's October's reward I finally got, a month and a half late.
