Why isn't Spectrum shown as one of the TV providers for AMC Plus?

Try selecting "other" and then see if it's there.

Doesn't look like there is that option plus I called them and doesn't look they are offering it as a bundle so no thanks.

I believe you can still get it bundled up for $8.99 via PRIME and Apple TV+. You'd be getting AMC+, Sundance Channel, Shudder, and IFC.

The Top 10 is so random. How does an 8 year old film like The Impossible, or something like Knock Knock make it there. I guess they were recently added to the service, but are these things people are really clamoring for?

I assume there's a social media influence on it, but Impossible was just re-added and now Tom Holland is famous.

Netflix promotes these newly added movies by putting them on top of the app. They've also posted about them on their Twitter/Facebook feeds. And once they appear on the top ten, it just means more people will now watch them.

Mile 22, that shitty Mark Wahlberg movie from a few years ago, is also in the Netflix Top 10.

I understand how it works. It is just funny how random some of things are that land there.

I watched about 10 minutes of Mile 22 and hated it. I usually enjoy Peter Berg movies too, but that movie was not his original style. Something was off. Very disappointed.

The amazing thing is that apparently the majority of people just watch the same 15 minute clip of Knock Knock over and over. I have no idea why.

That movie is pathetically bad.

**new TV series**

Dash & Lily, released Nov 10, is a decent eight-part, 20+ min Christmas rom-com series.

A whirlwind holiday romance builds as cynical Dash and optimistic Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City.

I watched the trailer on YouTube weeks ago and I thought it was a movie.

I’ve only seen 2 episodes so far, but it works well as an episodic series due to how they introduce the two main characters.

I loved this movie. The whole cast was hilarious. They should have made this a TV series and done an episode for each holiday.

I liked this a lot too, though the big speech at the end was pretty cringy. Emma Roberts was great. Big fan of hers.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

I finished Dash & Lily (8-part series) and I thought it was good. Maybe B+ grade.

Great chemistry between the two leads -Austin Abrams and Midori Francis. Stellar performance by Midori. I would give an Emmy nod.

Think “You’ve Got Mail”, and set during Christmas time and teenager characters. But not necessarily teenage immature humor. No Hallmark channel cheesiness. Very well made. I felt the Christmas spirit.

I finished The Queen's Gambit today. Excellent limited series--best thing I've seen on Netflix in a while.

I watched the first episode on November 12th and I liked it but I decided to wait closer to Christmas to watch more of it. I may watch episode two on Friday after I watch a couple episodes of Virgin River season 2.

Netflix has re-acquired the rights to Stargate SG-1 since the Stargate streaming service did so well. Comes out December 1st. But, I believe it's currently on Prime video.

I watched a few seasons of SG-1, and not all 10. But I vividly remember watching the uncut pilot on Showtime on the premiere date. I was 12 at the time (1997), so my reaction was
