My orders shipped today according to the email I received 10 minutes ago.


Orders placed 8:30 AM yesterday, confirmation email arrived same day. Today, second email announcing delivery.

Kayak - was the email you got yesterday the actual confirmation w/order number or the initial email which tells you that you placed an order?

My preorder of Simpsons S4 just shipped for $25, so I got in. I ordered around 2 AM that night.

NatL - Yesterday I received an email saying:

"Thank you for ordering from DeepDiscountDVD.com. Your purchase information appears below. "

Today another email saying:

"We thought you would like to know...

The item(s) listed below shipped today.

*** Check the status of all your orders 24 hours a day by going to
https://secure.deepdiscountdvd.com/login.cfm and clicking on "Order Status". "


Each email then went on with billing and shipping information and listed the DVD's I ordered. (both emails had the order number)

I also ordered yesterday morning about 9am central time or so. I got the first confirm email but not the second with the order number and I have 0 open orders online. I'm gonna wait til Monday before I panic though hehe. Sounds like lots of people are having this prob, maybe they are just backed up for now...

My order was confirmed but several items are listed as N/A on my order listing. Only 2 items are listed with a date, one is listed as a pre-order one as a back-order. Is anyone in the same boat?

I'm in the same boat as a lot of you guys -- order went through, received the first email, but not the second (confirmation) email. Nothing shows up on the website, either. Given how DDD has worked in the past, I wouldn't start worrying until early next week....things slow down when they've been over-run!

I made two orders between 2-3 am PDT. I split my order between currently available dvd's and pre-orders. The first order had 8 dvd's and the second order had 22 pre-orders. I didn't receive the intial emails on either one and so far have only received the confirmation email with order number on the first order. Nothing at all on the pre-orders.

The order status on DDD only shows the first order also........

Yep, that's exactly where I am. One of my DVDs shows a back order date and the other is listed as N/A (not available?) but says that it is in process... considering it will take at least a week from the time they ship these for me to receive them, I just decided to cancel my order.

I thank DDD for going through with these orders, but they really need to get their acts together with the emails and their CS on the phone.

I ordered four DVDs through this deal, and on the website three are listed as "IN PROCESS" and one is listed as "BACKORDER". It is also showing on the site that I haven't been charged yet. The one that is backordered is the Chappelle Show DVD set. I called to ask when it might be sent to me, and they said I might not have it untill July.

That wasn't something I wanted to go through with. So, since CC is also having a sale on that set this upcoming week, which comes to a bit less than what I'd pay through DDD, I decided to just cancel that one DVD from being sent to me. The first person I talked to about it told me on the phone that I have not been billed for anything as of yet, and that the other three would ship on Monday to me. They said that Chappelle would be cancelled, but if by "some chance" they send it to me anyway, that I should just send it back to them and they'd refund me the money.

I dunno, the person I was talking to didn't seem like the brightest bulb in the box so I finished up that phone call, and called back to talk to someone else. I asked this new person, who was insanely rude by the way, to cancell the Chappelle show for me. They said that they did while I was talking to them and that there is NO chance it would be sent to me.

So this all made me happy, but then they said that I have been billed for all four DVDs, including Chappelle. This person said I had been billed today, and they were shipped out today, but I still haven't got an email from them telling me anything at all. I checked my PP account, and sure enough, they charged me for all four, including Chappelle.

They "said" that the total for the Chappelle set would be refunded on Tuesday, but this person obviously didn't have a clue what they were talking about.

It's just a bit frustrating. I didn't think they charged you for the different items untill they ship. If you order some items that are in stock and then some that are on backorder, when they ship the ones that ARE in stock, do they go ahead and bill you for the backordered/pre-release items also?

I'm going to call once again right now, just to see what someone else tells me about all of this.

Well I just got off of the phone and, surprise surprise, this guy told me something else different...although he actually sounded really professional, was very helpfull, and really came across to me like he knew what he was doing, unlike the first two rude women.

He told me that the other two people didn't even cancell the Chappelle set like I asked, but he did so for me on the phone. The DVDs haven't been shipped out to me like one of the people before told me, nor will they be shipped out on Monday like the other one said. He said they have been packed up to be sent to me, and will go out tomorrow.

He also said that the charge that I see on my PayPal account is just a pending charge, and that since I have cancelled the Chappelle set, on Monday or Tuesday, it should show that the charge for the three other DVDs went through and that the $15.60 for the Chappelle set will show back up in my account.

So, it looks like this guy got everything done right for me, so kudos for that.

It isn't that I really want to cancell the Chappelle show because of the price, I just don't want to have to wait untill July sometime to actually be able to watch it, heh.

Well, I've gotten the first email notice that an order has shipped. Things look great.

My Chappelle's Show shows "In Process." Hopefully I will receive some of their remaining stock.

For anyone getting upset, today was a national holiday because of Ronald Reagan's funeral. I don't think the post office was opened, so nothing actually shipped, and might not until Monday.

and what I do on IGN has no relevance here. you can't ban me for calling people names on another forum. anyway, it was more of a joke, i call my friends whores all the time in a facetious manner. the threads purpose at IGN was to just let the IGN guys know that the news was out, so they needed to hurry up and place their orders.
