Deep Discount DVD Code and Aftermath
All,
I removed the DDD 20% off coupon thread, the code which was posted was NOT a public code, appearently it was an internal testing code for them and no longer works.
More to follow soon.

They will if it was for internal testing. This wasn't a misprice, but a leak from someone who works for DDD. That person won't be there tommorrow.

Well, I wouldn't want them to lose a lot of money because of this kind of thing, but if it's just a question of selling something at wholesale, I think it would be a good customer relations move to honor the orders. I know it would make me favorably inclined toward shopping there in the future.

I am sure it was just a mistake. Internal testing using all 4 codes from the sale last year

I bet they flagged the 4 codes by changing the date to a future date assuming they were going to delete them from the system before that date. Instead someone forgot and someone using google or another search engine found a mention of the usatoday code and tried it.
A thread happens and the thing spreads.
Sure someone at deepdiscount could have turned them back on intentionally I guess. No way they would pick all four codes from last time to internal test.
IMO. YMMV

While waiting for my order to process (which it didn't), I checked the sale prices against Columbia House/DV2 (also no tax and free shipping), and they were pretty close. This was to be my DDD order:
Bubba Ho-Tep (didn't get DDD price) - $16.79 @ CH/DV2
SLIDERS-1ST & 2ND SEASONS $64.80 - $53.99 @ CH/DV2
STAR WARS TRILOGY (WS) $41.88 - n/a @ CH/DV2
MONK-1ST SEASON $38.99 - $35.99 @ CH/DV2
Buffy Season 6 (didn't get DDD price) - n/a @ CH/DV2
Simpsons Fourth Season $36.59 - n/a @ CH/DV2
FLINTSTONES-COMPLETE 1ST SEASON $ 47.51 - $38.95 @ CH/DV2
