| List Thread |

Rules

This Challenge overlaps with two well-established Challenges - October's Horror Challenge and the November-December Holiday Challenge. During the overlapping days, you can receive "double credit" by listing any qualifying items watched for those other two Challenges on your Comedy Challenge list.

It should be self-evident what titles qualify, but if you have questions about something you've never seen, check out its genre classification on IMDB, Allmovie, or metacritic, or ask about it in the discussion thread. Live events (stand-up acts, plays, TV show tapings, etc.) and audio performances (comedy albums, old-time radio shows) can also be listed.

Post your list in the list thread. Be as creative or as basic with your list as you want.

You may number (or not number) the items on your list any way you like. However, the preferred method is, as with the Holiday Challenge, any title watched, no matter how long or how short, counts as one list item. This should make it easier to record qualifying items on both lists if you participate in both Challenges.

And I just replaced my missing Three Stooges Collection this year and began collecting Scooby Doo now that they were taken off Max

Watched Young Frankenstein earlier this month. But consider later possibly one of the Abbot and Costello Universal movies, Scary Movie or Dead and Loving It later on.

Started with Cooties, which I remember wanting to like more than I did back when it came out in 2014. Still not as much fun as it should be.

I started this morning by watching some of The Woody Woodpecker Show on MeTV as part of their Saturday Morning Cartoon lineup. If anyone still has not had their fill of horror as well, tonight Svengoolie is playing Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.

Does anyone have a comfort comedy film? Not the best comedy, but a film that you know you can put on and just make you smile.

Two off the top of my head are TOMMY BOY and THE WEDDING SINGER.

That’s About Time for me. I also like Notting Hill but that has some uncomfortable moments that make it not entirely positive.

The In-Laws came to mind first. Going back a bit, Bringing Up Baby and His Girl Friday.

I've probably seen Clueless hundreds of times at this point, during the channel surfing days whenever I came across it on tv I had to stop and watch the rest of it. Also Beetlejuice and The Breakfast Club

The holiday challenge has begun, offering a lot of opportunities for double counting.

Just watched Freakier Friday, and it was a disappointment after how much I liked the 2003 movie. It was ok, but I’m glad I streamed it on Hulu.

Currently watching the new Naked Gun, and I expected more laughs after seeing the trailer. But I never saw all the Police Squad stuff.

This reminds me that I haven’t rewatched Police Squad in way too long. The DVD set is within sight! This is the best show in television history per minute imho. (Would pick longer running shows as my favorite, but if every series was only six episodes, it’d be Police Squad.)
