wake of death is non anamorphic

I just bought Van Damme's new movie Wake Of Death and found out (much to my dismay) that wasnt anamorphic. Viewing it on my widescreen tv gives me 4 black bars. The case says 1.78:1 "4X3 Letterbox"....
