Re: Briarpatch (USA) -- S: Rosario Dawson -- From the Producers of Legion & Mr. Robot

The season finale ("Felicity") just aired, right? Anyone watch it all and recommend it? I watched the pilot and let the episodes build up on my DVR.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

IIRC what Trebek said in that show's intro, JH had the top 12 single-game records -- now 13.

His average game is a little more than $400 above the previous one-day record (Roger Craig's $77,000).

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

The first half of FtWD's S4 was a major shake-up and is worth watching. TWD continues to go through the motions.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War (Russo Bros., 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Agreed with all of the above. It would've been more impactful/believable if old, potentially retireable heroes like Cap, Iron Man, and Thor had been killed.

Re: Stranger Things (Netflix) -- Season 1 Thread -- S: Winona Ryder

You and I did, when I drove the three of us from Midway to Joliet.

I pray he never recalls what we did to him in Bolingbrook.

Re: Arrival (Villeneuve, 2016) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Interesting and attention-grabbing, but

it "borrowed" time-jumping from Slaughterhouse Five and flash-forwards from Lost.

Re: Doctor Strange (Derrickson, 2016) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I saw an IMAX screening tonight in Austin, which was attended by C. Robert Cargill, one of the screenwriters. He said the first script didn't have much of an origin but that Marvel had them add it.

Re: SNL (s40e01) -- 09/27/14 -- H: Chris Pratt -- MG: Ariana Grande

Kyle Mooney's video shorts are always awful. He seems to think that intentional unfunniness is original and funny. It is not.

Re: Recasting Plutarch Heavensbee for Hunger Games sequels

They should have Jim Gaffigan shoot the remaining scenes.

Re: SNL -- 11/23/13 -- H: Josh Hutcherson -- MG: HAIM

Josh Hutcherson wasn't born when those 1980s songs came out. That's depressing.

Re: The Office -- Two new episodes -- "Junior Salesman" and "Vandalism" -- 1/31/13

Roy : Pam : Jim :: Jim : Pam : Brian

Everyone wanted Pam to leave Roy for Jim, but not so much Jim for Brian. Not sure if that's a deliberate point by the writers.

Re: Breaking Bad --> Season 5.1 Finale --> "Gliding Over All" --> 9/2/12

Re: Breaking Bad --> Season 5.1 Finale --> "Gliding Over All" --> 9/2/12

Lots of references to the past, implying Walt can never fully escape it.

• Walt Whitman book
• seemed like his shower was shot like when he started losing his hair
• dented paper towel...

Re: Family Guy -- "Back To The Pilot" -- 11/13/11
