I've been on a big Jam kick recently. I put Weller easily in my top five rock songwriters ever. Their b-sides were better than most bands' best material:

"Shadow Hand" from the album Spirit Trail is one Bruce Hornsby's absolute top songs, just about equalling anything off The Way It Is. I especially adore the two crazily uplifting instrumental interludes, the first of which starts at 1:55.
