There's a different way of embedding YouTube videos now.

Read "Post #147" in the thread to see how to do it.

(Well, it works for YouTube... not sure how to embed non-YouTube videos)

Re: Post a song you like or love.

By pure luck, I stumbled across this video of a live performance and was soon hooked. It had me at harmonica.

"Once Upon a Time in the West" (live)

(Younger people call theme music "songs" these days, so I'm just going along with them in calling these songs.)

Silly, I know, but it's strangely hypnotic, and two of my favorite minutes of film anywhere:

And at the other end of the spectrum, yet still hypnotic:

Pink Floyd's song "Time" (with the added bonus of being set to this trippy music video):

(NOTE: the song starts at the 20 second mark)

Andy Gill's guitar feedback is mind blowing.

Two-fer from my younger days:

Lo-fi Guided by Voices nugget:

Forgotten very early nineties dream pop with a kickass Zeppelin drum sample and backup vocals by the girl from Slowdive:

Two great ones by Ry Cooder:

Apologies to the Big E, but this dirtiest-slide-ever cover of "All Shook Up" blows away his version:

One of my favorite Jam songs. Weller really captured the vibe of the mid-60's Who on this one:

Re: Post a song you like or love.

Back to Rio is a great album, Norm. (most of it, anyway). Sounds a lot like classic Byrds.

Re: Post a song you like or love.

One of the best shows I ever saw was when I was front row for a show in Seattle at a small bar I think is long since closed. It was the Sex & Religion tour when Devin Townsend was in his band. Of course now listening to his stuff just makes me miss the days I could play like that.

Re: Post a song you like or love.

The low end on this one is awesome. Pretty much goes for the whole Graceland album.
