I tried following Ky-Fi's suggestions (thinking, "This is easy!") but quit in frustration after a couple of attempts. I had decided to PM Ky-Fi for further help, but hopefully the above posts will fix the problem.

I'm a big fan of Sly and the Family Stone and this clip from (I guess) some TV show back in 1968 of the band performing an medley of some of their best songs is both fantastic and appears to be genuinely a "live music" performance despite being from back then when that was the exception on TV instead of the norm.
I also like in how, when the audience is shown later in it, they are all dressed up in suits and nice clothes. I remember being told that dressing up to go out was the norm back then, no matter what the event was. And this music clip illustrates that.
In short, this doesn't bite.

Re: Post a song you like or love.
Thanks for the help, guys. As Ky-Fi correctly guessed, I was clueless about how to post more than the link. Had started to ask a couple of times but was embarrassed after having to ask about bolding, highlighting, etc. in the past. We post-computer-classes old-timers who are self-taught need all the help we can get.

Honest, it USED to be really easy!

creekdipper, you don't need the Youtube address; just what's contained within the [yt] tags. I'm still waiting for the embedding problem to be fixed.

Thanks, Norm. When I copied & pasted with the [yt] method, the URL appeared beside the posts. I didn't remove them because I wasn't sure if it would affect the posts, and I was too lazy to test it & repost if necessary.

A purdy song, "Suitcase" by Joe Purdy:

(Posting since it's not showing in your earlier post. Nice song. Btw, I'm obviously doing something wrong since when I paste the link & submit, the youtube link remains to the left. If I click on edit to remove it, the entire link to the song is all I see.)
So, if I'm understanding you correctly, all I do is copy the parts within the [yt] tags & then paste? I'll try that to see if it works.
Edit: Works! I'm such a computer dolt! Thanks for the help. (I went back & fixed the earlier ones, too)

"Urgh! A Music War" ( details ) is a rare gem of a concert film with great footage of a lot of up-and-coming bands in the early 1980s (although it's just a one-song-per-band concert movie so don't get whole sets).
I saw a VHS version of it many years ago, so it had crappy picture and sound quality. But checking if it ever got a proper release, I found out that it's available on DVD (DVD-R) so now I'm thinking about getting a copy.
Here's some performances from it of some of bands that I'm a fan of:
Devo - "Uncontrollable Urge"
The Cramps - "Tear It Up"
Echo & the Bunnymen - "The Puppet"

Can't wait to see a contestant do a faithful cover of that Cramps performance on American Idol, Voice, or America's Got Talent.
If the latter, Stern should finally be happy.

Tried to post another good song but apparently I'm not allowed to embed anymore, it keeps adding 2 'disabled's into the imbed line, when I try to edit/ delete the words 'disabled' it just puts them back in there when I try to submit the post again. No idea what's going on.

It was disabled (hopefully temporarily) by the forum techs because of some security issue. There is a workaround that works for youtube. See the image I posted on the previous page.

Danzig, How the Gods Kill. I've been a big fan of Danzig since I first discovered the Misfits and Samhain way back in my skateboard days as a kid. His first solo album was a huge favorite of mine but I got out of metal for the most part during the 90s and only recently discovered this song a few months ago and fell in love with it.

That was always one of my favorite Fixx songs. Brings back that 80's vibe (the non-alternative part) with bands such as The Stand, Red Ryder, April Wine, Triumph, UFO, etc.
Not a big Madonna fan but always liked Live To Tell. Here's a cover with a little metal edge thrown in:
