I highly doubt she would release a new album without appropriate hype build up. She’s a master of these things. Putting out a new album a month after 1989 TV would kill that album’s momentum on streaming, plus no time to pre-sell. I don’t buy it.

I was thinking this film would be huge with the advanced tickets sold but its saturday night and I'm checking the available seats to the prime time showings and there is hardly anyone in the theaters! Like an 8pm showing at one theater only has 2 seats sold as up 7:50pm; another nicer theater only has 7; the late IMAX only has a couple. Too many screens and everyone who wanted to see it already saw it on friday? Maybe most of the younger fans are at the afternoon showings.
Hopefully they'll switch over some of the screens to other movies in the evening if it remains like this.

Yeah I think the vast majority saw it last night. Lots of sold out showings last night. My local AMC even after I got out at 9pm was busy.
I checked some of my local showings and it seems only select shows are selling out. Lots of seats available throughout the day.
I also think it depends on the area. Bigger cities have more sales than smaller towns.

It's possible that the movie will have one of the biggest week to week declines in recent memory. There was one theater that had it on 8 (or 14) screens at 15 minute intervals. Between FOMO and TikTok/Instagram the majority of people are going to see it this weekend.

The theater we frequent has over 30 showings in one day and the tickets are 19.89 apiece. F that! This is for a theater where the normal releases are 8-12 bucks. Where in the hell are the horror releases?

It looks like a lot of screens are switching back to horror and new movies this thursday. At least at the Regal I usually go to, the IMAX screen is going to Killers of the Flower Moon and some of the horror films like When Evil Lurks are returning.

Thinking about it, it’s a surprise that they didn’t make the movie a “limited engagement event”. That would fit the pattern.

I’ve seen it twice. My wife bought tickets for us when they first were available and we went Friday. Then we wound up doing a weekend trip to see my sister-in-law and she wanted to go so we saw it again today.
I’m not the biggest Taylor Swift fan but I do like her well enough. The concert movie was very well done. The choreography, the outfits, the staging was all very cool. I’ve gained more respect for her as an artist seeing the movie and would see her in concert if I had the opportunity.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread
Weekend estimates has the movie at $96m, but if they presold $100m worth of tickets a month back and added Thursday night showings, I would have figured $110m at a minimum. It will be interesting to see when the actuals are posted later tonight, perhaps the formula they use for the estimate won't work on a event movie like this, and the actual will be back over $100m.

I'd assume some of the presales are for upcoming dates this week and next weekend and will be factored in at those times. A ticket for tomorrow, Tuesday night, should not be counted in a weekend before it happens.

I didn't think it's playing during the week. I can't imagine that many people bought a week ahead, but I suppose anything is possible.

Indeed. I was perusing my local AMC and see that they've added more premium screens for Killers of the Flower Moon this weekend than there were before. The DC screens have been mostly dropped from this concert and moved over to those showings.

Looks like the actuals posted today lowered the weekend total to $92.8m.

I haven't seen any official reports but it's rumored that Taylor, along with Travis, made a "sizeable" donation to a local charity called Harvesters. They feed needy families. I hope it's true because it would be the coolest thing.

I imagine she's also donated to his 87 & Running foundation which helps underserved kids across the U.S.

Travis bought a love nest for them in town. I would guess the basement becomes a recording studio,
Travis Kelce Just Bought a $6 Million Mansion for Better Privacy While Dating Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce Just Bought a $6 Million Mansion for Better Privacy While Dating Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's romance is heating up, to the point where Travis went ahead and bought himself a new home in Kansas City for the express purpose of better privacy. The price tag? Jusssst under $6 million.
According to TMZ, who broke this nugget of celebrity real estate news, Travis is "getting a place that's way bigger" and "more secluded" than his current home, which is probably for the best considering the public interest in his and Taylor's relationship.
This new place is a "straight-up mansion" with six bedrooms and six baths, and it comes with its own waterfall, a tennis and pickleball court, and a golf course. It's also in a gated community, which should make a big difference when it coms to privacy.
Per TMZ, Travis felt his old house was "far too accessible" and was "starting to become a tourist attraction," causing him to become uncomfortable. Which, fair enough! Plus, there was easy access for paparazzi who could pretty much park right outside. And before you ask, yes, dating Taylor "factored into" Travis' decision.

Besides 1989 (Taylor's Version), there are rumors of the following albums showing up by the end of November or early December:
- The so-called 1989 (Taylor's Version) Black Edition, with a number of songs with collaboration by other artists.
- A new Christmas album with several old and new Christmas-themed songs.
- A so-called "24 Hour" edition of Midnights with all the songs from that album plus extra songs and remixes that were released on special edition discs or online.
- The rumored (maybe!) Karma album, one with songs that never made it into the original Reputation. It might be these songs and all the Reputation songs combined into one album set.
