Taylor Swift has sold more than 1 million copies of her new album, Speak Now, during its first week of release to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's country albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200. Speak Now sold 1,047,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to become the first album to generate first-week sales of 1 million copies since Lil' Wayne achieved the feat in 2008 with Tha Carter III. Swift's sales topped Lil' Wayne's level to claim the largest sales week since 50 Cent's The Massacre sold 1,141,000 million copies in 2005. She performed Tuesday night (Nov. 2) on Dancing With the Stars. She'll perform on the CMA Awards show taking place Nov. 10 in Nashville.

Another big story for Taylor, She Debuts 10 'Speak Now' Songs on Billboard's Hot 100, for a total of 11 on the chart at one time.

Butter her biscuit.

She needs to do a duet with Corey Hart.

She might seem squeaky clean, but if you play your cards right I'm sure she'll brown your sausage.

The young lady writes all the songs on her albums. I say more power to her.

I'd syrup her hotcakes, that's for sure.

She has a talent for writing catchy pop tunes. And she happens to be a tall, young, pretty blonde. Nothing but mad respect here. Still, wouldn't mind buzzin' the brillo...

It really is a great album. Nice to see her record such a big first week.

I really like Taylor and this album is pretty damn good. Doesn't break the mold but it is very solid. Also, the deluxe edition is great, the 3 bonus tracks are easily album worthy and the acoustic version of Haunted is worth the additional cost alone IMO. Glad to see sales were great.

Rumor is that Jake Gyllenhallehoolehallerr did just that. Though I thought he played for the other team...?

As someone pointed out to me, if you date her...she'll write a song about it. So make sure you bring your "A Game".

I also say for writing her own stuff.

I stand firm in declaring "Love Story" one of the better pop songs of the last few years, despite (or, perhaps, because of) its inclusion of a Bacharach modulation.

At worst she'll write a pedestrian song about you being a jerk. Compare to what happens when you disappoint Lily Allen:

That song was awful. And by awful I don't mean harsh, I mean really bad. For the life of me I'll never understand what people see in Lily Allen.

I think half her songs are about guys that are lousy in bed.

What's not to love about fun, snarky songs written by a girl who actually looks and talks like someone you'd meet at a local bar?

Pretty sure I read it on one of the gossip blogs. but I may be mistaken...
