Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread
I know I've seen a few things lately where the bands had zero control over the merchandise costs in the venues, probably more on smaller venues,

FWIW : Here's the order I placed at the Swift store after my (first) Taylor concert. I didn't buy merch at the merch tent because the line was quite insane.
The store had a one-day 15% discount code that they sent an email out about. Seems pretty fair actually.

The bad news is that there's such demand that I still have to wait 2 months for the order.

Is the code still available or will there be any future discounts?
I emailed them and they said the shirt would be sealed in plastic.

I'm not understanding the hype and clamor over the RSD release of the Long Pond session - the regular Folklore is so much better!
The Long Pond is fine as a curiosity, or to just watch the performance, but the way people are clamoring for the vinyl as if a far superior recording isn't already out there is kinda weird.

But is it even that rare - maybe in relation to demand, but most shops are posting how they have 40 to 50 copies and first come, 1 per, etc, but most RSD releases are more like 1 to 3 copies per store. So it's hardly "rare" in that sense.

I really doubt that she will. She likes the current recordings, she's proud that she was able to pull off those albums during Covid, and most importantly, she already owns these masters. She still has to re-record or release re-recordings of Speak Now, 1989, Reputation, Debut. Plus she was probably recording new stuff with Jack last year before the tour.

As predicted by many, many people, Taylor played High Infidelity tonight.
Since my next show is Mother's Day, I assume I'm getting The Best Day. I suppose it could be Soon You'll Get Better, but that's kind of too heavy a song to do live.

She is now dating the lead singer for the 1975 Matt Healy.
Now we can get albums from her and him when they break up

There’s a rumor. Doesn’t at all mean it’s true. Confirmation from “an anonymous source”? Okay then.
Matty is kinda grungy and gross and former drug addict. Doesn’t really seem like her type, besides for Jack Antonoff producing his newest album.

BTW, seems like not all of the pressed copies of her RSD release made it to stores before RSD, and the remaining are trickling into indie stores now.

But they do post what they received on their social on occasion.

Speak Now (Taylors Version" comes out on July 7.
I think that was the last album that had more of a country feel?
I like her pop stuff over the country part of her career.
