I giggle looking at the answers here. When I was 25, I had about 2000 CDs. But then space, time and money became factors.

I have narrowed it down to 200, and I feel naked.

1576 CDs, I think, according to cdtracker.

I've been collecting them since 1994 and in the last year, since I met a fellow music fanatic, I've added about 800. I buy a lot of used, especially when it's mainstream stuff. Otherwise, mainstream I get through CH, doing the music club the same way everyone does the DVD club. But I also listen to a lot of indie and imports that are impossible to get used, so it all balances out in the end.

Last 4 purchases - new albums by David Bowie, Dirty Vegas, Elbow, Doves

How did you narrow down to only 200? I plan on weeding out a few hundred CD's (out of 2,000), but no way on earth could I or want to weed down to that many. Did you make a few bucks selling your discs? Just curious.

I estimate I own around 650 because that's about how many fit in my cd cabinet, although there is a bit of overflow lately.

I'm getting more selective about the music I'm buying these days. The last thing I bought was the new Bowie CD. Before that, it was Remy Zero when their last album came out. So I don't buy CDs that often.

I have 56; all CDRs. I used to have about 200 real cds. But I got a CD burner and burned the songs the way I wanted them. Its alot easier for me to organize my collection. Sold all my originals on Ebay.

I used to have about 25 Faith No More CDs (including imports) and after burning the songs I liked onto CDRs I now have 4 FNM CDs. Its so much better that way.

384 as of today. I'm rejoining BMG after a 6 year hiatus, so between that and another few new releases I'll be breaking 400 in a couple weeks.

I'm probably right at 400 CDs, but i've got 1400+ Full Albums on mp3 which I listen to at work.

I'm getting a lot more CDs than I used to now that I'm reviewing them. Saves me a lot of cash

Probably around 150. I rarely buy music anymore. I don't listen to the radio, so I don't really know what's new. The only CDs I buy now seem to be drum and bass mixes.

My mp3 collection has ground to a halt as well. I haven't downloaded much of anything in the last 2+ years.

Real CD's I would say about 50...CDRs...more than I can count, or even find.

I havent bought a CD in like 2 years...last one was Christina Aguilera of all things...and it was used off Ebay.

added note: Please don't make fun of me!

I've got about 750 right now - give or take 25 (I haven't counted lately).
