How many cd's do you own?

Right now I have 172 and it just keeps on rising.

Jason 10-10-01 03:10 PM

Around 600 or so. Everything from Frank (Zappa) to Frank (Sinatra)

.

Aghama 10-10-01 03:13 PM

About 340 individual CD's. I dunno how many actual albums.

einTier 10-10-01 03:16 PM

Last count, 325... probably around 350 or so now.

Everything from Dr. Dre to Tori Amos to Nine Inch Nails to Hank Williams Jr to Beethoven.

Plus, there's about 30GB of mp3s....

Yancey 10-10-01 03:17 PM

A little over 1,000 CDs and a couple hundred albums.

BDB 10-10-01 03:32 PM

At least 500, they are all over the place.

trebek 10-10-01 03:35 PM

Around 950 CDs and another 200 or so LPs.

stevevt 10-10-01 03:39 PM

1035

This thread reminded me that I needed to add 2 recently purchased cds to the list where I track them all. Thanks.

codefree 10-10-01 04:15 PM

Somewhere between 600-700 currently... I used to have over 2200 but sold off all of the non-alternative discs.

grunter 10-10-01 04:34 PM

5000+

I'm way more into music CDs than I am DVDs.

Although my purchasing of late has slowed down somewhat. There's just not enough really impressive music out at the moment.

I think the last two discs I bought were Ryan Adams' "Gold" and Tenacious D "Tenacious D".

El Scorcho 10-10-01 06:40 PM

About 650. All alphabetized! ;)

Burnt Alive 10-10-01 06:53 PM

Exactly 550.
I used to have a bunch more, but I bought a storage shelf that holds 550, and parted with quite a few CDs that I figured I'd probably never listen to anyway.

Now, every time I buy a new CD, I have to get rid of an old one!

db27 10-10-01 07:01 PM

have owned well over a thousand, but I tend to sell them from time to time to get new ones. not as often these days, but in my broke high school days.

probably like 200 or so now.

Lokimok 10-10-01 08:24 PM

I have about 550 cds - & I don't know where to put them. I think it starts with Dave Alvin & ends with ZuZu's Petals. They're in alphabetical order (mostly), but they're everywhere: some on a shelf, some on a stand, some in cardboard boxes, some on a spinning rack... I know I would listen to certain albums more often if they were closer to the stereo.

tofu 10-10-01 08:32 PM

about 450 and up. and that was after i had cleaned out some of the old and unwanted ones.

edclem 10-10-01 08:54 PM

around 550. I haven't counted lately :)

palebluedot 10-10-01 10:29 PM

Around 600 CDs and around 400 Albums and around 150 tapes(what are those?)

SnoopDogg 10-10-01 11:36 PM

Have alittle over 100. Not up to par with you guys.

Alyoshka 10-10-01 11:38 PM

It's around 350-400 right now. about half of them I didn't have to buy as they came for reviews.

anglagard 10-11-01 11:39 AM
