Embedded. Never really care for fan made stuff, but I did like this.

Looks nice, but that acrobatic martial arts style of fighting from the prequels gets real old, real fast. It already seems more outdated than the broadsword style clashing in the OT.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Abrams, 2015) — The Reviews Thread — SPOILERS

The Red Letter Media Mr. Plinkett character has posted a new clip on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sU7bsDhgxU

I guess this is supposed to indicate that a long form review is forthcoming.

Basically, it boils down to "I made a mistake".

It doesn't appear he thinks it's a mistake to have Leia hug Ray, but that he made a mistake in blocking the scene so that it seems Leia is not going to hug Chewbacca.

I always chalked it up to Leia being force-sensitive, so she could feel the pain Rey felt, and they were connecting on that level.

And that's sort of what JJ said too, but it just looks bad to have her literally walk right past Chewy.

At least he's owning up to making the mistake and didn't try to spin something weird out of it.

Yeah, that struck me as odd on at least the second viewing. As blocked, it would've been better had she hugged Chewy first, then went and hugged Rey.

"Leia blames Chewy for Han's death, as Chewy had a life-debt to Han, and so him not dying in Han's place is dishonorable. Thus, no hug."

I thought for sure Maul was going to take out his other "saber" and take care of her that way. Or at least I was hoping.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Abrams, 2015) — The Reviews Thread — SPOILERS

This almost made a billion dollars here??? Basically just a rehash of the first movie. I honestly was bored watching this and that will probably piss people off but I just could not get into it. I really liked Star Wars and Empire; the rest sucked. Yea it was great to see Han and the gang...but it felt so forced and Han just going oh well I will just went back to doing what I do best bullshit. UGH!!!

Not really going to expand on it. Glad I didn't see this in the theater and waited for home video. Where I could be an unwashed/mouthbreather/fanboy/hater who didn't get it because it was too smart for me/etc..
