Hopefully that drop will help release some premium screens for other movies going into this weekend

My daughter turned 6 on a Tuesday which was perfect for AMC's reduced pricing so I gave her the option of either watching a movie or going to Chuck E Cheese. She chose the mouse over the bear unfortunately.

2nd lowest weekend of 2025, studios really don't like releasing stuff in this window apparently.

Best case scenario is that Captain America breaks even or makes a small profit including PVOD revenue. But, definitely not a disaster like The Marvels financially.

Not a good performance but not damaging to them in the least.

I had to double check, there are no movies announced after this year other than Avengers 5 and 6, and the likely Spidey 4.(from Sony) I think there's a good chance that's it and they go full X-Men, but we'll see.

X-men after F4 would make sense. Marvel rarely reveals their Phases too far in advance so this isn't out of character, especially after a set of Avengers movies.
But after 1 massive bomb (Marvels) and two disappointments in the last year (Captain, Ant-man), they do need to retool things a bit.

What's the over/under on Snow White making as much as the 2023 Little Mermaid film?

I think Dumbo is a pretty good comp for Snow White, with SW making a bit more and reaching around 400m (best case scenario) but it could do worse. The good news is Disney should save face pretty quickly with Lilo & Stich just two months later.

I think if Snow White end up getting good reviews, the cynical are just going to say they are all paid off Disney shills and the reviews are worthless. And if it gets some negative reviews then that other group will just say, See!!! Disney's wokeness has alienated the fans and their movies suck. And then there are those who just have a personal problem with Zegler and Gadot.
It's a tough situation. I saw a YouTube video of Zegler performing Snow White's title song in Spain. It was a nice performance IMO. But there were some nasty comments from people who dislike Zegler and then those who like her were being called Shills.

Bleak weekend at the BO as Micky 17 takes a dive and Novocane doesn't make much of a splash.

The cynical will probably say, Novocaine didn’t do well because there were no “stars” and it wasn’t worth a trip to the theater.
But maybe some are saving their money for the summer. Especially with many having uncertain job security these days.

Black Bag has stars and a $50m budget so that's more likely to take the brunt of criticism this weekend. Novocaine had a $18m budget so they can still figure out how to make a profit off that, even if it isn't from theaters.

Not a strong showing for Snow White but its too early to call it a complete dud imo, curious how it will hold since it seems to be hitting well with young girls.

Unless an international territory surprises, it probably finishes in the 275m range. But not hitting 300m is pretty bad, considering Dumbo managed 350m.

Thursday saw Working Man with $1.1m in previews and should pull $10m - $12m for the weekend. The Princess Mononoke 4K IMAX Re-release came in with $1.2m.

Projections are looking worse for Snow White, 15-20m. It will struggle to reach 100m domestic if that's the case, and a final global haul closer to 200m is likely. Yikes.
