Yeah, maybe not The Thomas Crown Affair, in which both versions are very well-regarded, but I could see how preferring a so-so remake to a much better regarded original would count as a Guilty Pleasure. (Ex. if someone liked the "Robocop" remake more than the original. I'd think they were crazy, but that could justify being called a guilty pleasure.)

Most crappy sequels to horror franchises (Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc.). Some others I can think of: Aliens vs. Predator, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Batman Forever, Jingle All The Way, Kindergarten Cop, Terminator: Salvation, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I love The Strangers while simultaneously wishing it was a better movie (it delivers big time on atmosphere but suffers from horror cliches like dumb characters).

I'll go with Josie and the Pussycats. It's actually a nice little satire on consumerism, but not something I'd ever brag about owning on DVD.

You guys have some strange ideas about what constitutes a "guilty pleasure".

To me, a guilty pleasure is something that is just plain ridiculous, stupid, and usually badly-made, yet somehow manages to steal my heart nonetheless.

Still the most blatant commercial disguised as a movie I've ever seen. But I still love it!

Windtalkers! The special 3 disc (!) Director's Cut dvd is one of the most watched dvds in my collection. My girlfriend rolls her eyes everytime I put this in my player. What can I say though? I like this film. I know the script is a mess, and most of the acting is hammy at best (I'm talking to you Nic Cage!). But's it's John Woo! The 4-5 major action setpieces/battles in this move floor me every time. Plus, I thought Adam Beach gave a pretty good perfomance. And The Incredible Hulk is in this too! How can you go wrong with that?

I unashamedly admit that DOA: Dead Or Alive is one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" movies.

Sure, So Close is better but this is still a fun way to spend 90 minutes.

When they were going to do that sequel to the animated version, the tagline was something like "God's forgotten them. But someone else is watching." Which was kind of cool. I'm always amazed that McFarlane has the business acumen which he does, interviews with him never seem really scattershot. He doesn't really seem to talk in "businessman speak" like Jim Lee does. But then, he's rich and I'm not
. I did kind of like the HBO series, shame it never got a follow-up.
