Deep Rising (RT: 31% critics, 43% audience)
I think this is one of the more fun monster movies mainly due to the cast. Yeah, the CGI effects haven't held up very well (if ever) and the big finale is a bit too generic, but the rest is entertaining enough for me.
(Also I really like the final scene before the end credits.)

Got the BD double feature that includes another guilty pleasure of mine, The Puppet Masters.

I unashamedly admit that DOA: Dead Or Alive is one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" movies.

Sure, So Close is better but this is still a fun way to spend 90 minutes.

Unfortunately, she's given very little screen time and even less to actually do. While she's billed above Basil Rathbone, he's got that ever-important "and" in front of his credit, thus trumping her placement a bit.

For my guilty pleasure it will always be the teen genre(TV and Movies). I just saw this last night, I hope it does well, and I will gladly pick it up on bluray.

I watched this movie so many times that I have Frank Langella's lines commited to memory. He even acknowledges it as one of his absolute favorite roles. It shows in his performance that he was relishing every single moment of it.

Yeah, I read that somewhere too. The movie gets a lot criticism but I loved it as a kid, and when I watched it a few years back I was surprised just how well it holds up (to me). Movie Skeletor is up there when it comes to villains of cinema. Evil-Lyn was pretty good as well.
Hard to believe that's Frank Langella, the same guy from Frost/Nixon and Dave.

As for Meg Foster, she was a fantastic Evil-Lyn. Even when Frank Langella was stealing the scene, her presence is felt.

And I must say that I adore every bit of the score provided by Bill Conti.

Does Intrada ever reissue score CDs?

Sure, Street Fighter is a terrible adaptation of the game but it is a thoroughly entertaining action-comedy.

Yeah, funniest part is where Vega comes out and the woman cheers and waves the sign, then when Ryu is shirtless, she is quiet and puts down the sign and Vega is dismayed. My sister laughed pretty hard at that part.

Yeah, I love that bit. Especially since she makes a "meh" sound when she decides to just drop the Vega sign.
