Re: Post your favorite guilty pleasure.

All of the Friday the 13th sequels and every single Steven Seagal movie. Even his shitty DTV movies are awesome.

I'd also add:

Taken 2
Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I'm not really "guilty" about it, but movies I realize are basically shit but I still like include:
- Bad Boys 2
- Revenge of the Ninja
- Space Camp
- 1990: The Bronx Warriors
- Blue Crush
- Robin Hood: Men In Tights
- Star Trek : Generations

Punisher: War Zone

Punisher: War Zone even got its own episode on the bad movie podcast "How Did This Get Made?" ( LINK ), although the group on the podcast (which included special guest Patton Oswalt and the movie's director Lexi Alexander) seemed to really enjoy the movie (at least viscerally).

P.S. Patton Oswalt also raved years ago about how much fun the movie is on his blog ( LINK )

Guilty pleasure? Great movie, great cast, amazing chemistry, pretty well reviewed, and generally liked (nearly 80% on RT). Probably not destined to be a classic but you can't go wrong if you run across it on tv.

Yeah, although the 1999 version's RT is about 70% (the 1968 original is at 79%).

I think a film needs to be widely regarded as terrible, either by critics or most people online (for example: my pick, Punisher: War Zone, is just 27% with critics and 42% with audiences on RT. Yes!!!), to truly be a Guilty Pleasure.

(However, preferring a remake to a generally more highly regarded original movie could possibly count as a guilty pleasure, if stated that way.)

Audience for '99 version is at 77%. That's what I was referring to.

I mean if you mention to someone you just watched "TCA" you're more likely to get a "yeah, that was pretty good" over "why are you watching that shitfest?"
