They needed Thor to have something to do in AoU. He practically had nothing to do this time around. Not that he really needs to do anything besides kick ass and be funny.

The cave scene was just an excuse to get another shirtless scene out of Hemsworth. Of the four MCU movies he has been in now, he has had shirtless scenes in three of them.

Nothing wrong with some eye candy for the ladies, nobody's seeing Thor for Hemsworth's performance. At least he can face forward in the posters.

The new face of Spider-Man was announced just last week and Tom Holland already has one big supporter in his corner; Stan Lee, who created the hero with Steve Ditko back in 1962, spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of ANT-MAN where he was asked what he thought of Tom Holland stepping into the role he helped create.
He’s good to me! I can’t see anything wrong with him. I don’t know him intimately. In fact, I’ve never seen him [onscreen], but if [Marvel] picked him, I’m sure he’s good!
Despite not having seen Holland in anything, Lee's endorsement is likely a nice feather in Tom Holland's cap. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige spoke with The LA Times and referenced Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's original Spider-Man tales as an inspiration for Tom Holland's new younger Spidey.
The one thing that hasn't been able to be explored in the other five ["Spider-Man"] movies is his relationship to the broader Marvel Universe and that's something that was exciting to us. To go back to those Stan Lee, Steve Ditko origin tales of having him be younger and that dichotomy with dealing with the rest, and also in Brian Michael Bendis' "Ultimate Spider-Man." That the younger he was, the more truer he was to the original Spider-Man comic book stories and also the more unique and different he would be in comparison to the other Marvel heroes.

So Stan's statement is basically "I saw a picture of him and can't find anything wrong with it."
What a ringing endorsement.

Pshh. Stan is practically a robot that Marvel pimps out at this point. No surprise he doesn't know shit.

You don't know that he sticks his dick in Spidey's asshole? How do you think Tobey Maguire was able to scream at such a high pitch?

Geez man, it was a joke. It just sounds odd when one man says he doesn't know another man intimately. Most people tend to think of sex when they hear the word intimate. Yes, it can mean other things, but sex is the first thing that normally comes to mind. So it's just odd phrasing and would have been better phrased if he had just used another word or just said he doesn't know Holland well.

Marisa Tomei to Play Aunt May in New ‘Spider-Man’ Movie (EXCLUSIVE)
July 8, 2015 | 11:02AM PT Justin Kroll Film Reporter @krolljvar
Now that Marvel and Sony have found their Peter Parker, the focus has turned to the aunt who raised him.
Sources tell Variety that Marisa Tomei is the choice to play Aunt May in the next installment of the “Spider-Man” franchise.
Sony and Marvel had no comment on the casting.
While insiders could not say where things stood in the deal-making process, they have added that an offer was made late last week for the Oscar-winning actress to join Tom Holland, who was recently tapped to play the web-slinging superhero.
Marvel and Sony recently hand-picked Holland to play Spider-Man after months of meetings and screen tests with eager young actors, in addition to selecting “Cop Car” helmer Jon Watts to direct the pic.
The studios are still in the process of finding a writer to join Watts in the screenwriting process but insiders explained that the top brass also wanted to lock down other actors who would appear in multiple films so schedules could be worked out before shooting commences next year.
Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will produce the pic, and though Holland is expected to first appear in “Captain America: Civil War” in a cameo appearance as Parker, it seems more likely that Tomei will not appear until the first “Spider-Man” film bows on July 28, 2017.
The job marks a new direction for Tomei, who generally sticks to dramas like “The Ides of March” and “The Wrestler,” or romantic comedies like “Crazy Stupid Love” and “My Cousin Vinny” (which landed her an Oscar), rather than studio tentpoles.
She can be seen next in “Train Wreck” opposite Amy Schumer and is currently filming “The Big Short” with Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling. She is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.

Spot-on casting!!!
ultimately, i don't really care. Just interesting they keep going younger in every set of movies.
Hopefully they film this scene... it might make sense with Tomei as Aunt May...

If a character is 15 or 16, their aunt is much more likely to be in their 40s than their 140s like comic book Aunt May is.

I'm glad they're going for a more realistically aged aunt. It doesn't make a bit of sense for a 15 year old boy to have an 80 year old aunt.
It is hard to believe that Tomei is 50 years old though. She doesn't look that old at all.
