Mission Impossible: Fallout - My first rewatch of this and I found it just as entertaining as the first time. A pulse-pounding finish! And it's a nice continuation/completion of the arc started in Rogue Nation.

Rear Window (1954) — Probably have seen this a half dozen times over the years and still is my favorite Hitchcock movie, favorite mind you not best. Simple story and taking place in one location, but good performances from James Stewart and Grace Kelly. ****½/*****

Beetlejuice (1988) — Thin on story but the practical effects are good and Michael Keaton is a lot of fun even if he doesn't fully arrive on screen until the 40-minute mark. My feelings more or less remained the same from the last time I saw, probably 10+ years ago. I probably don't place this in as high regard compared to others, but still was entertained. ***½/*****

Spoiler:
It still holds up with a lot of cool action scenes.
Arnold in the 80's and 90's did these action movies better than anybody else.
There was a period where it dragged with the Jamie Lee Curtis interrogation and strip scene.
Wish they could have switched roles with Tia Carrera or got somebody like Sharon Stone, Kim Bassinger, Meg Ryan, or Demi Moore to play Arnold's wife.

Average and JGL does not do a lot of movies anymore and he picked this one?
it was cool to see him wear a Steve Gleason Saints jersey. That guy is a real superhero.

Roman Holiday (1953) — Lighthearted and enjoyable comedy featuring two wonderful and charismatic performances by Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn in her first major role. Last saw this 12 years ago and still fun to this day. ****½/*****

Raat Akeli Hai
Wow, this was fucking badass! One of the best films of the year. It's It's Knives Out meets Sherlock Holmes, and Poirot all in one. Highly recommended via Netflix.

Psycho (1960) — Amazingly, this is my first ever viewing, not sure why I waited so long, but finally got around to it. Great movie in every way from the performance by Anthony Perkins to the atmosphere, enjoyed every bit of this even though I basically knew the entire plot at this point since all iconic scenes and lines have been repeated over the years. Not sure this is my *favorite* Hitchcock movie as I still prefer Rear Window, but obvious why it has held up 60 years later. ****½/*****

The Dead Zone (1983) — Pretty good paranormal thriller with a nice, and strangely normal, performance from Christopher Walken. Kept my attention throughout even if the finale felt a bit rushed and, the final scene, pretty laughable. Still found it entertaining though not sure how much desire I have to re-watch, although I may give the TV series a shot down the line. ***¼/*****

Prometheus...holy shit. i just saw this again and it was like i was watching for the first time. i was on the edge of my seat. literally heart pounding all the way through. i don't know what i said the first time around but i know i gave it 4 stars. now, 4.5. this was a brilliant prequel to Alien. just brilliant. Scott was at the top of his game with this. i was in total awe. i totally forgot most of this after 8 years and i was stunned, blown away. it was just an amazing experience this time around. i'm sure Alien: Covenant does come close and i would have like to see the further adventures of Shaw, but this was simply amazing and if paired with Alien, the perfect beginning. i loved it so much.
.5

Slumber Party Massacre: Pretty enjoyable, though I wish they'd stuck to the original script, after I learned a little more about the production.

Inseminoid (Amazon Prime) 1:78:1/SD
Threadbare British SF from 1981. An astronaut (Judy Geeson) is raped and impregnated by an alien being, and becomes a crazed gut-muncher attacking the rest of her team. Trashy and gory (but not all that much), yet it's somewhat entertaining if you just choose to wallow in its general awful-ness.

Deathstroke: Knights and Dragons DC Animation; Blu-Ray
Gruesome R-Rated animated film that weaves together various plotlines from the 30+ year Comics "career" of DC's popular anti-hero "Deathstroke". It's entertaining enough for a rental, though I couldn't recommend it as a "blind buy".

Judy Geeson huh? Wow she used to be an up-and-coming British actor. I first saw her in To Sir, With Love

The Courier Amazon Prime
Olga Kurylenko takes her turn as a Bad-Ass Action Heroine. She's "The Courier", -that's all the info you get, -and she's trapped in a parking garage trying to protect a State's Witness from a team of heavily-armed assassins. It's slick-looking, and reminded me of those films that Luc Besson used to write and produce and then hired guys like Olivier Megaton to direct. Lots of fireworks, lots of physical violence that would kill most people ten times over. It's competent, though, and entertaining enough, though you've seen it all before.
