I watched Don't Breathe today. I liked it and it has some really tense and thrilling moments, but the characters weren't likable at all and they did some really dumb things. 3.5/5

I watched The Hollars (2016) tonight and it's essential a quirky version of the prodigal son returns home movie. I liked it, but I think that this type of movie has been done better by other writers and directors.

Looking for a future, a young woman emigrates from Ireland to New York City. While in New York things turn out for the better in every way, but being homesick makes it difficult for her to decide whether or not this new life is meant for her. Decent film that was just a bit too soapy for my tastes. I don't get the hype for this one, I preferred James Gray's The Immigrant.

An ex-cop on the run from the law rents a floating shack in a fishing resort. One day out of guilt for the crime he committed, he decides to end his life but is thwarted by the caretaker. After this event the two become engaged in a relationship that manifests their mentally unbalanced characteristics resulting in acts of violence. Another twisted masterpiece from the greatest South Korean filmmaker. Not for the faint of heart.

An ex-bounty hunter and his friend are approached by a mysterious woman who offers them money for their help in guiding her through the desert. While in the desert it turns out that the woman is following someone while at the same time the three of them are being followed by a mysterious stranger. Not your typical Western, has more in common with El Topo (though not as trippy) and Dead Man.

Batman Vs. Superman.
Much better than I thought it would be or what I read about it. Actually redeemed the disconcerting Man Of Steel PLUS it is a great reboot of Batman (who Knew!?) and intro to Wonder Woman.
