1990 : The Bronx Warriors - 2/5
Just as bad as when I watched it at the local grindhouse 33 years ago. An 80's Italian post-apocalyptic mash-up of The Warriors, Mad Max and Escape From New York. The best things about this film are Fred Williamson and Vic Morrow. Why they used Williamson's real voice and dubbed Morrows, who the hell knows? One star for each of them.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (3-D IMAX)
Fourth time watching the film. The higher resolution was great but I wasn't impressed at all with the 3-D elements.

^ I can never decide if Lost Highway is my favourite Lynch flick, or Mulholland Drive. Depends on the day. Both are such excellent films. Still hoping that it gets a proper US re-release on Blu-ray. I have an Australian copy and it's... not great.

I still have the Universal DVD and I'm waiting for an upgrade, YOU HEAR THAT CRITERION!!!
I love them all except for Dune. IMO Fire Walk with Me is an underrated masterpiece that deserves more love.

But last year, I watched all of TP and finished it off with FWWM right after the last episode. It was at that point that I realized how great that film was.
my ranking from sometime last year (holds true for me): Mulholland Dr > Lost Highway > Eraserhead > Dune > Blue Velvet > TP:FWWM > Straight Story > Elephant Man > Wild at Heart > Inland Empire

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2-D)
Fifth time seeing the film
I thought I was going to take a break after my previous viewing but I had some close friends visiting from the East Coast who wanted to see it tonight.

Did you like it or hate it? I thought it was good though dark.
Fever Pitch on Starz
First time I have seen it in years and funny watching it now when Fallon is hosting a late night show.
Some people might hate him but I think maybe if he stuck to it he could have had a decent movie career in romantic comedies playing a affable everyman.

Since I am a fan of the director I might have to check it out. It just seems to me that since Paranoid Park, Gus has gone back into the passionless director for hire mode that gave us Finding Forrester and Good Will Hunting, instead of Gus the auteur who gave us My Own Private Idaho, Drugstore Cowboy and Elephant.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) - Ron Howard is not a great filmmaker by any means, but here is an example of him just saying "fuck it" before the cameras even start rolling. Make a shitty movie, marinate the film in diarrhea, then project on the big screen for audiences, giving new meaning to the term "splatterfest." This movie is such an incompetent fuckfest for all involved, and features perhaps Jim Carrey's most outrageously hammy performance yet. As soon as Opie yells ACTION!, we have Carrey in full on freak out mode for nearly two hours. An insufferable, lumpy mess of watery shit with nary a peanut sprinkled in for consistency. Fuck this movie.

The Hangover Part II - my masochism continues. If you wake up one morning in a massive pool of your own putrid shit and puke, don't just assume that it is a result of the previous night's drinking. Even if you cleared a case and a half of Coors Light. There is a good possibility that you may have tried to watch this movie before passing out, and that is why your bowels and intestines rebelled.

I promised my 12yo son we'd have an Avengers marathon this Christmas Break... so on the 21st we watched Ironman and yesterday watched The Incredible Hulk and tonight we'll watch Ironman 2.
He's only seen Ant Man.
