Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009)
Voice acting was solid and the film started off strong, but really starts to trail off after that.

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread
Did I ever really like this movie, or was I just going along with the consensus that it's good simply because it's not the disaster everyone was expecting? Because revisiting it now, it comes across as hopelessly lame.

Inglorious Bastards (1978) - 3/5
In 1940's France, a group of renegade American soldiers manage to escape from their superiors and head toward freedom on the other side of the Swiss border. Not the classic Quentin Tarantino makes it out to be, but entertaining in a cheesy kind of way. Worth watching for Fred "The Hammer" Williamson.

I saw Need for Speed on Thursday and was completely surprised at how entertaining it was. Saw Into The Storm Friday with the wife, and enjoyed it for what it was. Saw Expendables 3 this afternoon, and was entertained, as well.

Midnight Express: The subject matter (doing hard time in a Turkish prison for attempted drug smuggling) was not my cup of tea, but it's still a damn well made film. Great lead performance by the late Brad Davis and memorable score from Giorgio Moroder.
Birth: Creepy. I did admire the look and feel of the movie, even though I wouldn't recommend it.
Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire: Well, that was depressing.

World's Greatest Dad - 4/5
Black comedy about a high school teacher who considers himself a failure in all aspects of life. When tragedy strikes, he seizes the opportunity to turn his life around at someone else's expense. Hilarious film that may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Before Sunrise - first time ever. Decided to watch it after seeing Boyhood. This was actually quite good, and I look forward to seeing both sequels.

Just watched Firewalker on Encore Action. Surprisingly I have never seen this from beginning to end even though I'm a huge Norris fan. I don't even own the DVD. This movie got alot of crap for being a low budget Indiana Jones rip-off, but I actually kind of liked it. It was more of a buddy comedy with some action. Norris and Louis Gossett Jr had good chemistry. And Melody Anderson was really cute back then.

Demonic Toys 2 - I grew up on Full Moon flicks, but this one was just the pits. I couldn't even enjoy it on an ironic level... I was just bored.
Marie Antoinette (2006) - Not the most engaging movie, but not as bad as the critics say. At the very least, the costumes and scenery were gorgeous to look at. I thought the new wave music worked well in the scenes where it was used.

Johnny Handsome - 4/5
Neo-noir about a criminal born with a disfigured face who while commiting a heist is doublecrossed by his partners. Nothing like some 1980's Walter Hill plus a great cast.

Turtles Forever (2009)
Maniac Cop (1988)
Maniac Cop 2 (1990)
Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence (1993)
I was fortunate enough to attend a screening last Saturday in San Francisco, CA of the 'Maniac Cop Trilogy'. William Lustig was in attendance and did two Q&As. It was all kinds of awesome.
