Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
Wait, if Stallone is involved, would we get levels of Rambo violence?
And honestly, as long as it's better than Die Hard 2 (the weakest of the series), I'm good. [/ducks] |
Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
I liked Die Hard 2. :(

Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
This is great news!! Aside from the obvious PG-13 cuts of the last one, it was my favorite after the first one.
I say they go back to the R rating and the name should be: FUCK YOU(Die Hard 5) |
Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
A R rating would be perfect and a spiffy title like:
Yippie Kai Adrian (Die Hard 5) |
Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
I liked 1 and 3, never saw 4.

Sorry Kory ... you just failed your Hollywood 101 course ... of course the correct answer would be "5 Hard."

You know, I guess that billboard for Die Hard V in Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man is finally going to come true.

Definitely. There are about a half dozen spots where it's clear a curse word was dubbed out. It's almost like there is an R cut out there that was the way the movie was shot because the PG-13 cut clearly isn't, and the Unrated cut seems like it stems from a R-ified version of the PG-13 cut. It definitely feels like there is a missing original version of the film out there.
If a true R cut existed why didn't they simply use it instead of hacking together the ridiculous "unrated" DVD version? |

LFoDH Unrated seemed like they threw in f-bombs just to appease those screaming for a R-rated film, but it felt so unnatural and forced.

Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
It better be R or I won't see it.

Skip Woods, Fox making John McClane die hard one more time (exclusive)
May 4, 2010 - 8:00 pm By Jay A. Fernandez and Borys Kit John McClane’s string of bad luck may not yet be over. “Hitman” screenwriter Skip Woods is in negotiations with Fox to take a crack at a new “Die Hard” script. The New York cop known for consistently being in the wrong place at the right time has already survived four run-ins with terrorists, traitors and psychotic loose cannons of one stripe or another. In his last outing, “Live Free or Die Hard,” written by Mark Bomback and directed by Len Wiseman in 2007, McClane battled Web terrorists to $378 million in worldwide grosses — 20 years after first pitching Hans Gruber out a broken window at Fox towers. So the studio justifiably sees another installment as a strong bet. There’s no word yet on the new project’s story line, but former Fox exec Alex Young (“Unstoppable”) is producing. The CAA-repped Woods has already co-written several tentpole projects for Fox, including “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and the forthcoming TV adaptation “The A-Team.” He also wrote the original screenplay for “Swordfish.” McClane himself, the CAA-repped Bruce Willis, has several projects moving toward release — Sylvester’s Stallone’s “The Expendables” and the Summit actioner “Red” — and then a late-summer production start on the Lionsgate video game adaptation “Kane & Lynch.” After that, he’s free again to dig out the stubble, filthy T-shirt and beleaguered wisecracks. |

Wow...that guy has penned a lot of movies that blow.

Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
Hollywood's practice of letting the same shitty people right all the expensive films. Writers for hire. I wonder how long it takes them to turn out that garbage?
Die Hard 4 was more than disappointing. Lame all the way around. Bruce Willis hasn't done anything interesting in years. But, the first three Die Hards are all GOLDEN, so I am obliged to see this. |
Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
I thought Die Hard 4 was fantastic. Sign me up for some more. I'd be more than pleased if they brought back Wiseman and Bomback.

LFoDH felt like a sell out, but i'm still down for DH5

Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
Die (Hard) Already!
I'm up for it  maybe they'll have Paris Hilton do a cameo as a Hollywood hooker (she wouldn't have to do any acting ;)) ) |

If a true R cut existed why didn't they simply use it instead of hacking together the ridiculous "unrated" DVD version? For the worst example, check out Justin Long after the power plant explodes and he's standing back near the van. They try to cut away to a long-distance shot where he's out of focus, but whatever he's saying, he's saying with his whole body, basically, and you can tell the "HUH!?" on the audio isn't at all what he was doing on set. |
Re: Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
Die Hard - One of my favorite actions films of all time
Die Hard 2 - Guilty pleasure Die Hard 3 - Meh Die Hard 4 - Fucking terrible. Felt like a generic action movie where JM is almost superhuman. I have no faith in Die Hard 5 being any good based on the hiring of that hack screenwriter whose whole resume is shit. They should have never made any sequels to the first film. |

I cut Renny Harlan's hair last friday.

So is Stallone still in the running to direct?
