A Good Day To Die Hard

Die Hard 5 >> Bruce Willis (tentative 2011)
http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/artic...53/story.jhtml
Willis says "I think we're going to do a Die Hard 5 next year" at the Cop Out junket.
A couple of notes:
Earlier this year, there was an Expendables screening, and Sly's publicist (or the film's publicist) was Tweeting from it. She Tweeted something about hearing an insane rumor, straight from Sly's mouth. Later, AICN talkbackers reported that Sly might be interested in directing a fifth Die Hard after working with Willis on The Expendables. Not a lot of weight to the rumor (I am pretty sure the publicist deleted the Tweet, and Talkbackers are far from a legit source), but it's very interesting.
While the article linked above suggests that Willis wants Wiseman to return, when you watch the video, the interviewer specifically asks Bruce if he would like Wiseman back, and Willis replies "I would hire Len Wiseman right now." Solid endorsement, but if the interviewer doesn't bring Wiseman's name up, is Wiseman still the guy? Showing support and being his first choice are two different things.
In any case, I liked Live Free or Die Hard, so I'm in.

I'm not too sure how I feel about this. 1-3 are great, but I would've like Live Free or Die Hard better if it had been Mercury Rising 2, because that was neither Die Hard nor John McClane.

Awesome. I don't care about legacy or any of that shit, I just care that it's a ludicrously over-the-top action movie aiming to please the audience.

The R rating is a little stronger these days, I think. I wonder if Fox would allow an R-rated Die Hard this time through?

I've enjoyed all the others so I'd definitely watch another.

i would be in for this as well. 3 was my only dislike and even that wasn't all bad.

I enjoyed the fourth one. Would like to see it return to an enclosed location set during Christmas, and McClaine being on his own...just to get it back to its roots to close it out. Doesn't have to be the whole amusement park mentality of the last two.
Edit: My vote for title - Die Hardest

This series needs another horrible name, something like 1,000 Ways to Die Hard.
I wasn't big on #4, didn't like the switch in character. I'm down for this as long as they bring back Mary Elizabeth Winstead or Bonnie Bedelia

I've enjoyed all four and would gladly welcome a fifth.

Didn't like 4 at all, but I liked the first 3 a lot. Since Bruce seems incapable of making a decent film anyway, I'm not against a 5th Die Hard.

I love the Die Hard flicks. I'll be there opening night. Hopefully Fox took enough grief for the PG-13 nonsense in part four to give part 5 a full R rating.

I think a Die Hard 5 based around the character dynamics in the French Connection II would be best if a "worldwide" approach is really key for Willis. Having two police detectives forced to work with each other for some PR bullshit but in reality they want to catch some criminal. With some of the funny banter of 3 and the great cohesion of action and story from the first Die Hard, it could be a really great movie as opposed to a retread.
