I have to qualify my previous answer of A Christmas Story in the context of the thread, because I didn't watch it as a kid--I was post-college. Perhaps that would make a difference.

Same with Ferris Bueller.

The Out-of-Towners (1970)

When I was a kid, I didn't know whether to feel sorry for the Kellermans or hate them for being so stupid and whiny. When I saw it as an a adult, I knew the answer.

Many of the Disney animation films. "The Jungle Book" was the one I hated the most; I dreaded being dragged to those things. I do remember finding "Lady and the Tramp" as being OK though.

As a little kid, I much preferred seeing disaster movies or "Jaws", etc.

The Goonies. I fucking hate that movie. Always have, always will.

I blame grade school, since it was common to be called "Sloth" as an insult, with "Heeey yoooooou guuuuuys" yelled all day long.

Wizard Of OZ

HATED this movie as a kid. Watched it recently with adult eyes expecting a new appreciation, but not still foind it as noisy boring and CREEPY as I did back then. Possibly most overrated movie ever or at least up there with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which I hate even more than OZ

The Goonies; The Burbs; *batteries not included...almost all of those "Steven Spielberg Presents" films that Speilberg had very little to do with that we got bombarded with in the mid-80s (with the exception, of course, of "Back To The Future")

I'm pretty sure even as kids we didn't like crap that was specifically catered to kids even if it wasn't outright Disney stuff but like Spielbergian stuff and all that childlike wonder bullshit that Spielberg keeps squirting out, for example i remember being totally ENTRANCED by Predator and all of the 80s action, Harryhausenian stuff, etc.
