Personally, I still don't get why we're making a distinction between Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. As far as I'm concerned, Jake Lloyd, Hayden Christensen, David Prowse, James Earl Jones and Sebastian Shaw all played the same character: Darth Vader.

Could someone now draft Anakin Skywalker as a separate character? What about Batman, who has already been drafted? Would that mean Bruce Wayne is still on the table?

This draft game isn't through three rounds, and we're still having problems making it clear whether we're discussing actual characters, or specific acting performances. I'm getting a much better idea why the movie challenges always have discussion threads prior to commencement of the challenge.

Re: DVDTalk draft game

The movies themselves make a distinction between Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight, and Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith.

If you can answer "What became of Anakin Skywalker?" without saying, "He became Darth Vader" and can answer "Who became Darth Vader?" without saying "Anakin Skywalker," then I'd love to hear it. They are different persona of the same individual. "Darth Vader" is nothing more than a pseudonym. And it's been clear all along that he became Vader without being forced into the iconic black body armor, so let's not pretend that the guy wearing the helmet is a different guy than the person wearing it.

But, whatever; it's not my thread, and I'm just in this for the off-chance I get to score a free Blu-ray. You guys feel free to make whatever sense of all this makes you happy.

Re: DVDTalk draft game

Let say he doesn't make his pick in time.. can he jump in and make his pick at anytime(like the NFL draft) or does he have to wait for his next turn to take 2 picks? Just curious.

Question for Osiris3657: is it possible to keep the OP updated with everybody's picks? That way they're easy to find and in one place.

Alright

Side note...I've only seen the Milla Jovovich version of Joan of Arc, is that a man who portrayed her in the top right picture?

Very good pick, but it needs a good quote to go with it...

"Ho, ho, ho! Well, if it isn't fat stinking billy goat Billy Boy in poison! How art thou, thou globby bottle of cheap, stinking chip oil? Come and get one in the yarbles, if ya have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly thou!"
