Great shot, kid, that was one in a million.

Damn I thought Han would fall to me since he hadn't been drafted yet alll the way til this point. Frankly I'm surprised he wasn't picked in the first round.

Eh. I made a conscious effort to resist all Star Wars characters. There are entirely too many interesting characters from other movies to get caught up in one franchise. I confess I flirted with drafting Obi-Wan Kenobi, but decided against it. (Hint: Whoever drafts him can likely count on my vote once this competition begins.)

He had a poor combine. He made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs but ran a 5.08 40.

Re: DVDTalk draft game

Fun fact: none of the characters on my my list have been drafted yet. So far, I've gotten to choose every one of my picks.

Man, you guys have a whole list picked out already? I don't make any decisions until my turn comes up. I've got some basic ideas, but nothing set in stone.

I have a list of about 25 or so, and have so far only had to scratch one or two. I'm 4-for-4 with my top selections so far, though, so I can't complain.

Spoiler:
"Make it ten. I'm only a poor corrupt official."
"How extravagant you are, throwing away women like that. Someday they may be scarce."
"I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!"
"It is a little game we play. They put it on the bill, I tear up the bill. It is very convenient."
"I am making out the report now. We haven't quite decided yet whether he committed suicide or died trying to escape."

And, the one I almost went with instead:

"I've often speculated why you don't return to America. Did you abscond with the church funds? Run off with a senator's wife? I like to think you killed a man. It's the Romantic in me."

Osiris: Are real-life characters portrayed onscreen allowed? If I wanted to use Richard Nixon, for example, would that be allowed? Or do they have to be fictional?

My last two picks were both historical characters.

I already asked this. The answer is yes. The strange thing is, I was actually thinking about Nixon when I asked it.

His intangibles are off the charts, that should have counted for something

I'm quoting these to prove I don't have you guys on ignore, and I just wasn't reading closely before.

I am an exceptional thief, Mrs. McClane. And since I'm moving up to kidnapping, you should be more polite...

An excellent selection, although I might have been inclined to quote:

"'And when Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer.' Benefits of a classical education."

I also still enjoy:

"Nice suit. John Phillips, London. I have two myself. Rumor has it Arafat buys his there."
