"I know what you're thinking. 'Did he fire six shots or only five?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

Re: DVDTalk draft game

I'm assuming Suprmallet is thinking about his next pick? Or did he forget again that he drafts twice

"A thousand Arabs means a thousand knives, delivered anywhere day or night. It means a thousand camels. That means a thousand packs of high explosives and a thousand crack rifles. We can cross Arabia while Johnny Turk is still turning round, and smash his railways. And while he's mending them, I'll smash them somewhere else. In thirteen weeks, I can have Arabia in chaos."

I am now only 4-for-5 in successfully drafting the characters of my preference from my list. Excellent selection, Suprmallet. My single favorite Lawrence line is one of his earliest of the film, explaining the trick about putting out the match: "The trick, William Potter, is not minding that it hurts."

I'm also a big fan of, "I cannot fiddle, but I can make a great state of a small city."

Re: DVDTalk draft game

My favorite quote may in fact not be one of Lawrence's at all, but rather "It's noted that you have a funny sense of fun."

Fixed. (Sorry to nitpick; Lawrence is an all-time favorite of mine.)

"And yes, some Germans will die, and yes, it will ruin the evening, and yes, Goebbels will be very, very, very mad at you for what you've done to his big night... but you won't get Hitler, you won't get Goebbels, you won't get Göring, and you won't get Bormann. And you need all four to win the war. But if I don't pick up this phone right here, you may very well get all four... and if you get all four, you'll end the war... tonight."

Re: DVDTalk draft game

I'd like to suggest we do something to speed up the selection process. It's been a while since we started picking and less than half of us have 5 picks. I say we either start doing 2 picks/round or a free for all at a set time once Groucho makes his 5th pick (that is everyone gets 1 pick/per day with picks starting at a set time each day).

Re: DVDTalk draft game

Well we can forget about finding time for all 16 people to draft, that'll never work.

What's the hurry though? Honestly I think we're making decent progress. It's not like there's a deadline that the draft has to finish by...well, unless we get to May 18th, because I'll be on vacation for a month
