Interesting choice. Should this include all portrayals of Death in film; most notably Bengt Ekerot in The Seventh Seal?

I was thinking it should, but he's been called ao many things in a ton of movies that it would be impossible to list all of them. I decided to just go with the one that made me originally pick him.

"It's a 'Mr. Death' or something. He's come about the reaping? I don't think we need any at the moment."

I considered Death as a character choice as well -- I was thinking of various portrayals of Death such as "The Seventh Seal," "Bogus Journey," etc.

Fun fact: Popeye Doyle was also played in a TV pilot by a character actor named Ed O'Neill. The pilot wasn't picked up, but O'Neill soon became a household name because of a very different show: Married with Children.

ah, so just go with your William Sadler selection? I currently put down various actors, various films, but if you'd prefer I can change it. I chose 1950 completely at random, no idea when Death was first portrayed on screen.

So there's this guy Walsh, do you understand? He's tired of screwin' his wife... So his friend says to him, "Hey, why don't you do it like the Chinese do?" So he says, "How do the Chinese do it?" And the guy says, "Well, the Chinese, first they screw a little bit, then they stop, then they go and read a little Confucius, come back, screw a little bit more, then they stop again, go and they screw a little bit... then they go back and they screw a little bit more and then they go out and they contemplate the moon or something like that. Makes it more exciting." So now, the guy goes home and he starts screwin' his own wife, see. So he screws her for a little bit and then he stops, and he goes out of the room and reads Life Magazine. Then he goes back in, he starts screwin' again. He says, "Excuse me for a minute, honey." He goes out and he smokes a cigarette. Now his wife is gettin' sore as hell. He comes back in the room, he starts screwin' again. He gets up to start to leave again to go look at the moon. She looks at him and says, "Hey, whats the matter with ya. You're screwin' just like a Chinaman!"

Re: DVDTalk draft game

Nino is late. Amelie can only see two explanations. 1 - he didn't get the photo. 2 - before he could assemble it, a gang of bank robbers took him hostage. The cops gave chase. They got away... but he caused a crash. When he came to, he'd lost his memory. An ex-con picked him up, mistook him for a fugitive, and shipped him to Istanbul. There he met some Afghan raiders who took him to steal some Russian warheads. But their truck hit a mine in Tajikistan. He survived, took to the hills, and became a Mujaheddin. Amelie refuses to get upset for a guy who'll eat borscht all his life in a hat like a tea cozy.

"Listen sucka, I'm blacker than the ace of spades and more militant than you and your whole damn army put together. While you out there, chantin' at rallies and brow beatin' politicians, I'm takin' out any money-frontin' sucka on a hummer that gets in my way. So I tell you what, when your so called revolution starts, you call me, and I'll be right down front showin' you how it's done. But until then, you need to SHUT the FUCK UP when grown folks is talkin'."

Re: DVDTalk draft game

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.

There is a flip side to that coin. What if you do got me boxed in and I gotta put you down? Cause no matter what, you will not get in my way. We've been face to face, yeah. But I will not hesitate. Not for a second...
