Everyone is OK with a 4th that only features Depp? Where's the love for Geoffrey Rush? He stole the show in the third one!

I would only see a fourth (or more) if there is a different director and new writers. After #2 and #3, no thanks if it's the same.

I think that has already been done by the two sequels.

Hey im with ya, my favorite character from Pirates was Barbossa. If there is a fourth movie, I hope hes in it.

Mine too! :) (Well, him and Norrington.) As much fun as Jack is, he always came acroos to me as some crazy kid playing at being a Pirate. Barbossa, on the other hand, is more the real deal. If there is a fourth, both Barbossa and Jack have to be back. They were great when Jack was trying to upstage him in AWE. :lol:

Anybody who dies can be revived at the snap of a finger in the POTC mythology, so it doesn't really matter if they kill off Will or Elizabeth. Should the fourth tank they'll simply bring them back from the dead for the fifth, easy peasy.

I'm not threadcrapping but I never cared for any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I like Depp but even when I was a kid I didn't have much intrest in pirates.
But if the 4th one was In space then I would most def. go see it!

I think the series should stop, at least for a few years. PotC 3 blew. Maybe I'll find myself liking it a bit more when the DVD hits but in theaters it just dragged on endlessly. My opinion of DMC didn't change when I bought it so I'm not counting on this one faring any better. Obviously most of the US agrees since it's not nearly as successful as part 2. Although if it were in space...

I'd hate that. I love the 3 pirates movies, but would hate to see it go that route. They have plenty of myths and legends to tell.

POTC: The search for the fountain of youth, sounds very good.

I was not impressed at all with 3. They've gone downhill in my opinion. Special effects are great but the story really lacked. The scenes with the multiple Depp's was just cringe inducing. I'm in for a seeing a 4th...but they need to get back to what made the 1st one so great.

I loved all 3 movies. I wouldn't mind seeing a 4th one as long as Depp and Rush come back and Verbinksi directs. I wouldn't care either way if Keira comes back, but I would be extremely skeptical if Orlando Bloom came back. Bloom's appearance in the movie would be the ONLY thing that would keep me away.

Why not just keep Depp, have him find a new big ship to man and introduce a new slew of colorful characters.

Because Barbossa dominated the last movie, and pretty much stole the show with the last minute of the second movie.

Sparrow is what the movies started out as, and Barbossa is what the movies became.

hope it will stop someday, the first movie was the best... i saw the second and didnt like that much... and i dont really need to see the third one...

I'm actually tired of the Captain Jack Sparrow character. That character has been crammed down our throats. Please move on Johnny, you're too talented to do sequels for the rest of your life.

Come on...Ice pirates rocked and I did see it in the theater when I was a kid.

I didn't know if anyone else knew anything about this. On if you think they will make a 4th move, and like a prequel off of the 3rd one to open up into a 4th movie.

It is said that if and when Disney puts out the 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movie Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swank (Kiera Knightly) will not be part of the movie.

It's said that it will be a movie based on Jack Sparrow, and his crew. I think they would def. gain more profit off having all of the original cast in a 4th movie. However if Disney is going to pay Johnny Deep around a 35million dollars for the movie, it's probably too expensive to put the rest the cast in.

Just wanted to see what anyone else may say on the subject?
