I hate all the damn "woooooooooooo" from the crowd. I can understand laughter but the "woooooooooo" is annoying as fuck.

Sigh. I'm so sick of Captain Jack.

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)

I'm not sick of Jack. Just what he became in the sequels. He was cool in the first cos he flew by the seat of his pants and improvised like crazy right on the spot. But he always had a plan (even when that plan fell appart completely).

In the sequels, although there was still some of the schemer, he was more a really lucky clown.

If that's what Comic Con is like, I never want to go. Very annoying.

Lame ass teaser trailer, but I still can't wait for the movie. I'm really bummed it's being filmed in 3D though...

would you prefer it to be a post conversion? At lease if it's filmed in 3D, we can also get a 2D. And the 3D will look better...well one would hope.

Yeah, I would rather it be a post conversion. I would much rather have this film shot on 35mm like the first three.

What a lame teaser trailer for an "action" movie.

^ I wouldn't even call it a teaser-trailer as much as an announcement. They obviously have very little to show the audience, so they just had Capt. Jack tell them what they can expect. I kind of liked it, personally.

Cool.

Hollywood star Johnny Depp has made an unannounced visit to a London primary school after receiving a letter from one of its pupils.

The actor turned up at the school in Greenwich, south-east London, dressed as his Pirates of the Caribbean alter-ego Captain Jack Sparrow.

He said nine-year-old Beatrice had written to Captain Jack, asking him to lead a mutiny against her teachers.

Depp, 47, has been filming the latest instalment of the franchise in London.

After his arrival, a special school assembly was called and the film star - along with other members of the cast dressed in full costume - walked in.

Depp produced Beatrice's letter and performed for the children for 15 minutes.

But he told the schoolgirl that a mutiny might get them into trouble.

^ Proof that Johnny Depp is the coolest. This would be on par with having Harrison Ford show up as Indiana Jones in your classroom in the mid 80s.

Very cool of him.

It was a day that will no doubt go down in the school’s history. There were screams of delight at the Meridian Primary School in Greenwich as Johnny Depp arrived in his full pirate costume – and in character as Captain Jack Sparrow – to pay a surprise visit. The actor dropped in after nine-year-old pupil Beatrice Delap wrote him a letter asking for help to stage a mutiny. He is currently in South-East London filming the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean film and was completing scenes at the 18th century Old Naval College, close to the school. Beatrice wrote: “Captain Jack Sparrow, At Meridian Primary School, we are a bunch of budding young pirates. “Normally we are a right handful but we were having a bit of trouble mutiny-ing against the teachers, and we’d love if you could come and help. “Beatrice Delap, aged nine, a budding pirate. PS. we have a plentiful supply of rum.” During an interview with London Tonight, Beatrice told how Johnny had asked her to make herself known when he arrived, then gave her a hug. “He said, ‘Maybe we shouldn’t mutiny today because there are police outside monitoring me’,” the youngster recounted.

A class act, unlike Sir Alec Guinness who reveled in insulting children who loved Star Wars.

I dunno about Alec insulting children but he was very vocal of his distaste for the franchise. He was upset that it overshadowed the better movies in his long career.

I've heard of him snubbing kids who wanted autographs because of "Star Wars" while agreeing to sign for fans of his other work.

I don't begrudge him for hating the movies, but don't crush a kid's love because of it. The "other Obi-Wan," Ewan McGregor is a lot more good natured about it and I've heard of him signing things for little kids as "Obi-Wan." Although, there was a story a guy in a Jedi robe waited outside a Broadway play for McGregor and when McGregor (rightfully) shamed the guy asking him, "How old are you?"
