I don't know if this was already posted, but here's a list of all the IMAX theaters showing the flick in 70mm:

that struck me too, when I saw Final Destination 3 there (yes, it was a lull and that was what was booked on the big screen). It seems to me that the converted IMAX-Digital screen at AMC Tysons is actually bigger than KoP's screen. The Whitaker Center's IMAX screen in Harrisburg PA will also be showing 'Dark Knight Rises' in 15/70 - that's a great screen.

That was the first time I was at an Imax. I didn't know if all of their theaters were set up like that or not. They had like 5 or 6 rows right in front of the screen and that was it.

Those are the more traditional IMAX theaters, I saw Matrix Reloaded on one like that and also didn't care for the closeness.

Hmm it's gonna be shown on the omnimax screen here at the Science Center, it's a dome screen, so will the none IMAX scenes look like poop on it?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I got my tickets for the The Dark Knight Rises on IMAX at the AMC Metreon here in San Francisco. A true IMAX screen.
Also got my tickets to the The Dark Knight Trilogy! That rocks!

That list keeps getting updated - the Science Center wasn't on it a few days ago - so maybe the theater at the Arch will be added. It's not a huge screen (40x60), but it is flat and projects 15-70.
The IMAX screen at Ronnie's used to be 15-70 film projection, but they apparently transitioned it to digital in 2011. I'm holding out hope that maybe they still have the ability to project 15-70 and will do so for TDKR. The screen is a little bigger than the one at the Arch (roughly 50x70).

I don't trust that list because the theater I saw "Titanic 3D" in is on that list and it was a DLP theater with a much smaller screen, despite being IMAX.

Just got tickets to see it at the Franklin Institute on the 20th at 3pm and 9pm.

However, the theater has confirmed they will be busting out their original projectors and playing The Dark Knight Rises in 15/70. From what it sounded like, Warner demanded them to play it in 15/70 since they still have the capability of doing so.
The theater has confirmed it. Large Screen Examiner has confirmed it. Warner has confirmed it. IMAX (http://www.imax.com/extras/news/tix-...-knight-rises/) has confirmed it. I'm pretty sure your theater is playing it in fucking 15/70 if at least three various sources have confirmed it.

Aaaand of course, despite my telling people repeatedly to buy the fucking ticket, they didn't, and it sold out. Thus I am the only one in my party with a ticket. You'd think that with the fact that it is a midnight showing on IMAX, that common sense would assist with the decision to buy sooner rather than later.

The Hunger Games and The Avengers, which I saw both at midnight in IMAX, didn't sell out this quickly.

I bought a ticket for the marathon today at AMC Harkins. I wasn't going to go to the marathon but since the last time I talked to a manager there, the theater decided to show all three flicks in the Cine Capri - which is the largest auditorium they have.
I imagine it will sell out pretty quickly. The manager I talked with today advised me that I should show up early. I told her I already knew that because I was there 7 hours before the last one opened at midnight.
