The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I would also suggest checking out the No Man's Land stories...those are a bit different. Takes place after Knightfall, and Bane teams up with Batman for some time.

Watching it online is good enough for me but I have to admit I kind of want to see this in the theater just so I can weigh in on the Bane dialogue discussion.

I understood most of it based entirely on cam bootlegs of varying quality. Some boots were clearer than others.
However if you two want to carry on this seemingly personal vendetta (though realistically it's just too pathetic to be a vendetta considering what's being discussed) go right ahead and have fun.

I read that one a couple of years ago, and thought it was better than Knightfall as a whole. In fact I only read Knightfall in 2004, NML in around 2005. Other opinions on some Batbooks while we're on the subject...
Year One - really good. The recent cartoon...not so good.
Dark Victory - I remember it as a great story, Sale and Loeb...great team.
The Long Halloween - awesome.
The Dark Knight Returns - sucked
The Killing Joke - Loved it.
Venom - Great story showing Batman's physical limits, and what happens when he uses Venom to try to overcome them.
I also liked Brian K. Vaughan's stories, particularly those involving Matches Malone, which have been released in a collection.

I wasn't a fan. I appreciate what Miller was trying to do, in bringing Batman into old age. His written introduction was heartfelt, but it just didn't work for me.

The Dark Knight Returns is, in my opinion, one of the greatest comics ever written, along with Alan Moore's run on Swamp Thing and Neil Gaiman's Sandman.

I never said I don't understand what he says, it just should be much clearer than it is.

I think the Apple Trailers site is overwhelmed right now. I can't get the trailer to play for some reason.
I tried checking out Youtube and they have nothing except a million jackasses posting videos of themselves giving their review of the fucking trailer.

I downloaded it through iTunes and it worked like a champ. I was having the same issues through Apple's site. If you have iTunes, I would try it.

Finally got it to work. Great teaser for next summer. The football sequence looked spectacular.

The trailer is gorgeous on PS3. Can't sit and watch trailers on a computer monitor. All it needs is a surround track.
