Is the 86 player in the trailer Hines Ward? I remember reading a few Steelers are in the movie.

Yep, he has a cameo.

Yeah, Santa Prisca in the Caribbean in the comics. Bane in the comics is actually half-Hispanic half-British. Bane's father is a British guy named Sir Edmund Dorrance, aka King Snake who is one of Tim Drake's first main villains, who was in Santa Prisca and impregnated a local Hispanic girl. The baby was imprisoned for his father's crimes, and in was in the Santa Prisca prison where doctors experimented with the Venom drug on prisoners. Bane was the only one to survive the experiments.

That intersection is actually not busy at all, and with the fumes from the trains at Union Station you would pass it off as just an illusion ;)

The batwing's flying just looks off.....but Bane sounds alright judging from that terrible audio.

Can't wait to see the trailer in a theater with proper audio (and framing). Which movie is it attached to? I assume Sherlock Holmes 2...

That football field scene looked a little silly out of context, but I'm confident it will integrate nicely into the finished film.

My gut feeling is this film will contain some of the best and worst sequences in the Nolan Bat-universe. I'm expecting a wildly uneven end to this trilogy.

Holy shit and a half. All hell will break loose. Looks like there's something of a direct callback to "Batman Returns" in there as well. Selina comes off as very creepy. At least we know this trailer will be available legally in 1080p.

preview looks interesting but that football sequence was a bit stupid... i mean it would have been awesome if he was taken in it...

Yea, that sequence was a little too cheesy. I hope it works better in the context of the film.

I can agree that the football sequence looked a little lame but whatever it's forgivable. I have enough faith in Nolan that he will make it look alright within the context of the rest of the film.

I would almost bet money that JGL will end up being Batman by the end of the film, or at least wears the suit for a little while.

There has just been too much foreshadowing that things will come full circle with Ra's Al Ghul. I'm pretty sure we were lead to believe that Liam Neeson wasn't the first Ra's and won't be the last, and The Batman will live on in the same fashion.

I'd like to know where the scene where Bale asks "What does that mean?" and the reply was "Arise" takes place. He had a real ragged looking appearance and a beard.

And I could see JGL wearing the suit while Wayne recovers from Bane's attack.

Another phase of the viral campaign:

http://thebatmanuniverse.net/movie/m...ng-watch-1215/

TBU headquarters received a package today that we are sure is the next part of the viral marketing campaign. A cylinder tub arrived with a map imprinted on the outside.

Inside the tube was a T-shirt with the words "FIRE RISES" and a picture of Bane's head with mask.

The map imprinted on the tube needs more inspection and we are sure that it will play a larger role into the events leading to the next bit in the viral marketing campaign. After some extensive work we have scanned the map in two directions as best as we can so that all the details can be seen. Be sure to click on the images in order to see the extensive and detailed versions of the map.
High resolution images of this set are on this site, while other sites that received the same package have similar, but smaller images that aren't as easy to make out. That's why I'm not just linking them here. They're simply too big.

The t-shirt sure looks like MOTORHEAD.

Looks good, but I also think the football scene looks kind of dumb, almost like a rejected sequence idea from Inception.

The only reason anyone thinks the football scene looks stupid is because it's such an obscure thing to find in a Batman film. I can understand that, but in my mind Nolan hasn't disappointed me yet in the franchise so I'm sure it will play well in the film.

You'd think at this point Nolan would have our trust in regards to the Batman franchise. The guy is questioned left and right, and got all sorts of flack for Hathaways casting, too. So far, she looks to be perfect to play Selina Kyle.
