I'm surprised nobody has posted these videos, yet. Some video of some big fight scenes. Spoilered for obvious reasons.

Another thing I find strange about this whole thing. He's usually so secretive about his movies. I remember reading a story how people from the studios hand delivered scripts to the stars of Inception and then waited outside for them to finish reading.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
^ I have to say I kind of wonder why this one has so much action taking place during the day. Batman in and of itself kind of insinuates night time action. Given the heavy outfits/black dominant colors I see on everyone, the summertime heat must be murder on the actors.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Somebody here said it was snowing in Pittsburgh around the time they were doing the Bane's Thugs vs. Cops...soooo I dunno. Otherwise...it's looked kind of summery from what I can tell.
about the Bats out in the day. Guess when shit is hitting the fan in the day...Bats has got to bite the bullet and make an appearance in the day. Kind of neat that Bane is literally forcing Batman out. Not that Joker didn't but...it's in the day. |

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Every scene has fake snow and people dressed in heavier clothes to give that look, not to mention back in the actual winter time it was reported on "Batman On Film" that aerial views and cityscapes of places like New York and Pittsburgh were being filmed with helicopters to take advantage of the real snow at the time.

He has an obvious and undeniable contempt for the source material and the fans love him for it. There's no fanbase with more self-loathing than the Batman fanbase. But I don't see how blowing up the Manor, smashing the bat signal or coming up with the 50th different design of the Batmobile has to do with straying away for the source material. You use to have better examples of that before you left the Spawn boards. :) |

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Was that actually Ann Hathaway? The way they covered up right away makes me think that wasn't a stuntwoman
|
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Who ever it was seemed pretty nonchalant about it... kinda like Cher sideswiping cars in Clueless.
|
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I blame poor camera placement. Haven't we heard since "Begins" that those tires on vehicles make turning a pain in the ass?
|
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
that wouldn't have happened to Cat MAN.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Yeah, not to be sexist, but specifically on the Batpod they commented the whole thing turns through shoulder movement. I could see the inability to quickly maneuver that thing even a fraction of an inch out of the way being the sole reason the crash happened.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I don't understand why anyone here is asking if it was a stunt double when pictures in this thread took consecutively at the time of filming on those same steps clearly showed that it wasn't Hathaway on the Pod.
|
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Yeah...the closer pics show it was a stunt double. Interesting head peice though. Never seen something like that for a stunt double. I can understand why it looks like that..I've just never seen one like that.
