I doubt it. Nolan and Bale both despise Robin and it would be stupid marketing to flat out confirm "no Robin."

Good example, "Transfomers 3." I and others were actually intrigued by the idea that the moon was Unicron. When they finally confirmed a week or two before release, no "Unicron," any chance of me actually seeing the movie was out the window.

Besides, wasn't it rumoured a while ago that JGL
Spoiler:
goes the way of Leonardo DiCaprio in The Departed?
Robin seems quite a leap from that. Besides, previously some of us had debated he'd be Jean Paul Valley. I think his being Robin stands as much a chance as that: none.

What? 2 weeks before release? I think most of us here totally knew there wasn't going to be a Unicron. It was pretty much common knowledge. I almost want to say we also knew of a traitorous aspect of a character.

That and a certain character death were all widely known. The Amazon.com mishap simply confirmed it.

As for Unicron, people were rumouring it during the time of the reveal of the title. Shortly after a certain character's turn was known (but before the Amazon.com confirmation) it was already known that there would be no Unicron (and that the Wreckers were the closest we'd get to the Dinobots).

...not sure how I feel about the "ears"

I actually liked the "visor" mask or whatever you want to call it.

That is the visor. Part of it lifts up to form the "ears". They're antennae like the ones hidden in Batman's "ears".

I hate that she's in heels. What kind of crime fighter wears heels? I expected more from Nolan. You know damn well the if she fights at all in this you will see her/her stuntwoman wearing boots or flats. That crap annoys me.

If you have seen any of the previous videos of the stunt double riding the BatPod, she's wearing heels but the difference was that instead of the silver spiked heel being on its own, for the double it's filled in to be a solid sole of the boot, while keeping the look of the silver spike.

I must admit the heels, though hot, threw me off. And the stuntwoman is wearing boots (which looked fine with the costume).

You are probably still thinking of the porno ending of the newest Catwoman issue.

Isn't Catwoman supposed to be sexy?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I give Chris Nolan the full benefit of the doubt...not only has he done a great job with the Batman franchise and he's a tremendous director overall...but honestly some of the things I've seen and read about this movie make me nervous that it'll be a disappointment. Sure it'll make a ton of cash and probably get good reviews, but it'll be considered the weakest of the 3 he's made (I hope not of course). Now like every red blooded male I love seeing a hot woman in tight leather and heels, but Catwoman just doesn't look like she belongs in Nolan's Batman and he was forced into adding her by the studio.

Yes, after TDK made $1 billion WW (to glowing reviews and a couple of Oscar wins, and 6 other nominations), I'm sure the studio had a lot of leverage to force him to include her... Remember, they had to pony up $160 million to finance Inception just to get him to return (and IIRC, even then it wasn't guaranteed), so I highly doubt Warner had much to stand on.

As for the rest of your post, can't disagree, it's certainly a possibility that this will disappoint, but until I see it, I'm all in with Nolan's vision.

What? No tail on Catwoman's outfit? Count me out!!! ;)

FWIW, I think most of it looks like a cheap mask and a leather outfit, but you never know how things will wind up.

the costume, the casting of, and the inclusion of Catwoman is all around disappointing to me.
