Bottom line is that if you look at the new uniforms and say they look terrible...that's ridiculous unless you also think the original uniforms looked terrible. Because they are pretty much the same.
Except for the fact that the new ones have obnoxious looking stripes on them which make them look like garbage men or convicts on the side of the road. That's like saying "If you complain about the Batman costume in Batman and Robin that's stupid because it's the same as the others." Minus the fact that the costume had really stupid looking niples on it. Same thing here.Bottom line is that if you look at the new uniforms and say they look terrible...that's ridiculous unless you also think the original uniforms looked terrible. Because they are pretty much the same.

Plus there is an undercurrent of "these chicks aren't hot/skinny enough for my tastes" in here that bothers me.
Who at this point is saying that they aren't hot/skinny enough? Most of the complaints are coming from the fact that people don't find any of them funny. Guess what? I don't find Rebel Wilson funny either. If you replace McCarthy with her it isn't going to matter because I don't find her funny or a good actress. Hotness has nothing to do with it.Plus there is an undercurrent of "these chicks aren't hot/skinny enough for my tastes" in here that bothers me.

Michael K. Williams Lands Key Role in ‘Ghostbusters’ (EXCLUSIVE)
July 6, 2015 | 11:49AM PT Justin Kroll Film Reporter @krolljvar
With “Boardwalk Empire” having ended its run last fall, Michael K. Williams is finding ways to stay busy on the bigscreen.
Williams, who played Chalky White on “Boardwalk,” is in negotiations for a supporting role in Sony’s “Ghostbusters.”
He will shoot “Ghostbusters,” which is currently in production. The femme-powered pic is being directed by Paul Feig and stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy. Williams’ character, however, is being kept under wraps.
Although Williams is looking to dive deeper into the film realm, he is still staying busy on the TV end, landing one of the starring roles in the SundanceTV series “Hap and Leonard.” He can be seen next in the IFC miniseries “The Spoils Before Dying,” opposite Wiig.
He is repped by WME and Silver Lining Entertainment.

After watching Spy this weekend, I still think Feig was the wrong choice, but I'm a little less bleak on it. He understands the concept of at least delivering lines like a situation is actually happening, instead of a more broad approach. Though Jason Statham and Rose Byrne need to be in this movie to really make it work.

Whether it be an all female team or a mixed team, any of these gals would be awesome.

Also from scrolling back in the thread in March of '09:
That's some foresight.
I would certainly bust something with a cast that good looking.Originally Posted by Michael Corvin

EXCLUSIVE: Neil Casey has been set to play the villain in Ghostbusters, Sony’s female-driven reboot of the comedy franchise that is being directed by Paul Feig from a script by Feig and Kate Dippold. Shooting is already underway.
Casey is a writer and actor whose scribe credits include Saturday Night Live, where three of the film’s leads — Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones — came from. (The fourth, Melissa McCarthy, has been one of SNL‘s best guest hosts over the past few years.) Casey also has written for Inside Amy Schumer and The Kroll Show. On the other side of the camera his acting credits include Veep, Broad City, Playing House, The League and the SXSW film Fort Tilden, which won the 2014 Grand Jury Award for best narrative feature. He currently stars in Feig’s Yahoo original series Other Space.
The reboot of the franchise already has added Chris Hemsworth, who will be playing the male version of Annie Potts’ Janine Melnitz, secretary to the original band of ghostbusters. Details of Casey’s character, Rowan, are being kept under wraps, but he does look a bit like Peter MacNicol, who played the rather harmless bad guy Dr. Janosz Poha in Ghostbusters II. The latest Ghostbusters has a July 22, 2016 release date.

Maybe its the lighting but is that megaphone/speaker pink inside?

I don't know what's up with the hot actress recommendations (although Rashida Jones in suited up to catch ghosts is a nice visual). The Ghostbusters are supposed to look like average looking people. The car, proton packs and suits look like the producers/director are keeping in line with the original film's design. I'm not too thrilled about another GB film but this is one of those few times where I'd prefer a reboot over a sequel.

I think that's a 1984 Cadillac hearse. Nice touch.

More and more I wish that they would have just done this as an offshoot sequel - like the Ghostbusters Inc. game. A franchise (this one female) against a new baddie. Just make it Ecto-2
