Honestly when I saw the original line up I thought "Jones" meant "Rashida Jones" which I would have been happier with Wiig is the only one in the cast I actually like.

Rashida Jones is wildly underused in film. She would have made a great Lois Lane or a Janet Van Dyne.

Yeah. Wiig is a actually a pretty good actress. The others don't get my attention at all w/ their casting. I'm assuming Jones will be loud ass black woman? Dunno if McCarthy will be played up as the (again) fat lady to make fun of. It'd actually be good if they didn't go that way w/ her. Almost like playing against what we know her for. But Feig likes to use her as the fatty for jokes. So I dunno.

Seeing your name just gave me an idea. What if Hi-C revives Ecto Cooler to tie into the film? Would that be a sugary balm for the burns this movie has caused the internet?

I would put up with a Ghostbusters movie where Adam Sandler and his lame friends fight ghosts with farts at some tropical resort (so he could get a paid vacation) if it meant more of that ghostly nectar of the gods.

Yah, the more I think about it, Wiig and McCarthy could do a movie like this with no problem. I find it kind of weak that Jones and McKinnon are in it as there are plenty of funny ladies out there, and it seems like neither of them earned it outside of being associated with SNL. Hope I wrong but bleh. I mean hell, throw Amy Schumer in there, at least we'd get the inevitable bukkake joke when Stay Puft explodes on her face.

I could make an argument that McKinnon is the most talented of the four. I could, but I won't.

She is without question the most talented performer currently on SNL. Not saying much, I know, but it ain't even close.

The originals looked more like something a mechanic would wear. With the dark colors and the stripes, these look like garbage coveralls. It just looks crappy.

This. I have no interest in this movie because I haven't liked any of Feig's comedies, the only Melissa McCarthy movie I liked was Identity Thief, which was due more to Jason Bateman. And the fact that I don't find Jones or McKinnon funny at all. Wiig is Ok though. You make this movie with Wiig, Aisha Tyler, Emma Stone and Lucy Liu and you probably get a lot less complaints.

Actually, now that I see the full uniform it does look funny with the stripes.

You could make it with all kinds of actresses and get a lot less complaints. I see your Lucy Liu and raise you a Maggie Q.

Schumer would have been a good choice. She's attractive and actually really funny.

Honestly it's just the stripes that look funny, but i'm sure in the context of the movie it's fine. Hell, maybe they are just garbage uniforms they grab. It would make sense.

Actually I have no issues with the cast they've chosen. No need to go hunting for other ones.

To be clear, this movie could be terrible. I like Feig, Wiig and McCarthy and don't have an opinion on the other people so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. But I've also probably watched Ghostbusters more than any other movie and there is nothing this movie can do to change my enjoyment of that one. Plus there is an undercurrent of "these chicks aren't hot/skinny enough for my tastes" in here that bothers me.

Bottom line is that if you look at the new uniforms and say they look terrible...that's ridiculous unless you also think the original uniforms looked terrible. Because they are pretty much the same.
