Damn that would have been fucking awesome if Stewart was able to play Freeze. He would have made a great Freeze if he was playing it similar to how the character was portrayed on Batman: The Animated Series. Unfortunately with the film we ultimately got it probably wouldn't have mattered anyways but that's awesome to think about.

I don't know any GHOSTBUSTERS fan though who doesn't think of FOUR Ghostbusters, not three.

It has nothing to do with who invented the tech or who bought the firehouse or who called shotgun or whatever stupid fanboy nonsense you wanna scrape up. There are 4 Ghostbusters in the script and there are 4 other characters with more substantial roles than one or more of those Ghostbusters.
If you think the 4 Ghostbusters deserve top billing above anyone else you aren't paying attention.
If I had to be realistic I'd bill the movie in this order: Murray, Weaver, Aykroyd, Ramis, Moranis, Atherton, Potts and Hudson. Murray, Weaver and Aykroyd above the title on the poster. Ramis and Moranis below. Potts, Atherton and Hudson in the credit block, and I'd probably toss Hudson an "and" credit.

The "and" credit you describe is also reserved for name rec so although your sentiments are well intentioned it wouldn't make sense.
I think the Interstellar thread is looking for you.

Rebel Wilson:

She's totally up for an all-female "Ghostbusters" team!
Paul Feig, who directed Wilson in "Bridesmaids," is set to direct a new "Ghostbusters" film, and it looks like Wilson might be someone he wants on his team. "I have had a meeting," she said, adding that she'd want to see the finished script. But she's clearly interested: "I would even do that without the money truck," she explained. "I'd do that for free. I probably shouldn't say that live on TV."

As a reviewer myself, I know that pain. For every Under the Skin, I get ten Dr. Doolittle: Million Dollar Mutts.

First off, I like the first film just the way it is, but I also like Ernie Hudson as an actor, I like the character of Winston Zedemore, and I like his portrayal of him. Had he been introduced earlier that would have been cool, and the idea of him being over qualified while being a skeptic would have been good. I'm very glad that Eddie Murphy didn't take the role.

I agree that this scene is underrated and gets no love, I always love when it comes up during the movie.

I've always LOVED that scene too! In a nutshell it's what makes Ghostbusters Ghostbusters. It's something I doubt any new film could, or even would try to, replicate. It's not a straight up comedy. It's gritty and dark. It feels real.
Going off the Sony hacked email thread, though, I wouldn't mind seeing Emma Stone or Lizzy Caplan in III. Mellissa McCarthy? No thanks.

I also love the scene in the car. The music goes a long way towards selling the mood.
Speaking of Winston, I always thought it was weird how the wildly popular Ghostbusters, who are getting featured on the talk shows, running around NYC, popping up on magazine covers, etc. had to hire a new member of the team by putting an ad in the classifieds and taking the first person who appears to walk in the door.
My suspicion is that the order of the scenes were changed around and Winston was supposed to be hired before they became famous.
EDIT: AHA! IMDB Trivia to the rescue:

EDIT: AHA! IMDB Trivia to the rescue:
Had Eddie Murphy accepted the role of Winston, the character was actually meant to appear in more of the film. He was to have joined the team much earlier, and it would have been he who was slimed at the hotel. When Murphy declined the role, the script was re-written to have him appear about half-way through the film.

I don't think Ghostbusters needs JLaw, and honestly I don't think she'd fit in that world. Out of the rest I'm totally down for ES and AS.
