Every movie is a cash-grab, and the existing Ghostbusters movies are certainly no exceptions to that.

As for the movie being good? There are several films and television series from the same people who give me confidence that it should be good, even if the trailer is admittedly less than great.

As for the agenda? Feig directed the most successful female-driven comedy of all time and continued to have both critical and commercial success by working with female leads. I don't think there's anything more to it than that but even if you wanna believe that Feig is a traitorous agent of some sinister cabal of man-hating femi-Nazis it's still a big leap to suggest that the concept of female Ghostbusters is inherently flawed. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this isn't the new Ghostbusters movie I imagined for years. It's not the 3rd film I would have pitched if I were a writer, but even so there's no conflict with the "franchise's concepts."

I'm impressed that Guru managed to be more obnoxious then all the Nolan thread crapping.

Feig directed My Big Fat Greek Wedding?

I like Feig, but the mix of the trailer, the negative early word, and the fact that it's co-written by the scribe that wrote what has thus far been his worst movie (The Heat, which I found shrill as hell) makes me have very little faith it it being any good at this point.

I like Spy and Bridesmaids and was pulling for him, but this does seem like a losing battle at this point.

Given that this thread has devolved into a series of personal attacks, I see no reason to keep it open...
