This felt like some generic Alien rip off with a murderous robot on the loose instead of an alien. It absolutely feels nothing like the original Transformers cartoons.

So we get a story about killer robots...okay then.

Man, the fact that they didn't even bother to use the classic sound when they did the logo ticks me off.

And they didn't have no exorcist-looking kid staring at the camera saying, "Robots in Disguise!"

Exactly what I was thinking. However, the trailed did seem like it was put together on the cheap. Still has a whole year ahead of it, which should be plenty of time, right...

with all the changes being talked about, the sound for the transformation actually doesnt bother me.

it would sound out of place if they used the old audio from the tv show. it was a cartoon for crying out loud. it would just be out of place in a cgi/real world type movie.

Bay? OK, maybe he can put something decent up on the screen. There is a small chance.

BUT look at the friggin cast of actors. The only way this cast could possibly be worse is if Michelle Rodriguez or Bow Wow were in it.

My hope is that the actors take second stage to the Transformers, they can't possibly be spending this much on actors like that right?...

That's not a trailer.

It's a teaser.

Or as Michael Bay (director) and Don Murphy (producer) call it, an announcement. It is technically a teaser trailer though.

I actually liked the teaser. It's sole purpose is to get the word out that the movie is being made. I'm sure we'll get something more substantial later on. As for the transformation sound, I was disappointed that classic sound wasn't used but the new sound effects weren't bad at all. My only gripe is that the Autobot symbol didn't flip around to reveal the Decepticon symbol. I was actually waiting for that to happen.

Yes. Quite a few female voices, as well, which kind of suprised me. I'm guessing that most of them were either not as upset, or didn't know about any changes, from the original series/movie.

Is bumblebee going to be a VW Bug like the cartoons??
