I was going to open it again for another laugh but just got "Link removed at studio's request."

So is that Bubblebee mid-transformation or are they purposefully making him look like an insect in robot mode to make up for the fact that he can't be a VW Beetle in vehicle mode?

I agree with the insect part, what were they thinking?

I really hope the other transformers don't look this bad.

It's still kind of cool to see something like that "live".

You do realize this isn't how he will look. It looks like they are working on setting up the prop Bumblebee since they can't move it around in one piece. Those aren't movie characters but set workers. You can even see a bottle of water on the train car. I doubt if the Govt captured a robot, they'd leave their water bottle next to it.

It does seem to be the first shot of it though. I agree that he is lying face down but he still looks messed up. I guess since the studio requested that it be removed proves that it is the real thing.

You never know with this damned evil/stooopid Bush administration.

Seriously, if they can pull it off it'll be rad, but I for one, am kinda sick of CGI...too me, it looks more fake than the puppet in Pumpkin Head, and I'd take a Winston rubber monster over an actor talkin' to a tennis ball while standing in front of a blue/green screen.

*yawn*

That's what I've been dying to see? Lame... Guess I shouldn't have expected so much a year out. The idea was nice, I guess.

this feels like too early a judgment. i'd at least wait to see one from the front before i said it looked bad.

What I did was clear my cookies and cache, then it loaded up really fast.

You might want to give that a shot.

Here's the direct link to the file: http://www.transformersmovie.com/transformers_640.flv It's in an FLV container. You should be able to play it back in FLV player (http://www.martijndevisser.com/blog/...player-updated) or maybe even VLC if you prefer.

Thanks for direct link, that helps a lot as I wasn't able to hit the webpage for the past 20 minutes.

Yeah right....

They missed a perfect opportunity to include the "original transformation" effects (from the series) during the title change.

I'm guessing the robots will have a more "mechanical" sounding transformation instead of the normal effects the fans remember.

The teaser was decent . . . the concept of the "title transformation" was clever . . . however, they definitely missed an opportunity there to include the "orginal" transformation sound effects.

I think for the majority who are not even aware of this movie and have an inkling of what "The Transformers" are all about . . . once they see this for the first time in the theater . . . it will do the trick in terms of peaking their interest.

Michael Bay . . . you better come thru big time with this one!!!

This teaser blew. I know it's a teaser, but it looks like the whole thing was done in a few days. The Transformer that smashed the rover looked too damn skeletal just like that Bumblebee pic we saw earlier. I have a feeling that the bodies will look horrible and we will see slight homages to the G1 cartoon in the heads only.
