Actually, Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc didn't have outtakes upon their initial release. Nonetheless, I wouldn't mind if Pixar passed on them. The TS2 and MI ones were only so-so, I thought, and it's kind of lost its ingenuity from A Bug's Life (which are the best set). But certainly if they have a few good ideas, they should put them on the DVD or attach them to prints in a few weeks, as they'd more likely do.

But what shaun says is already in the credits sounds interesting.

C'mon guys don't give away the surprises for those who have not seen it.

I loved the movie. My 6, 4, and 3 year old children also loved it. My 3 year old daughter was a little scared, but she told me today she really liked the movie. Ellen DeGeneres is excellent, and really made the movie I think. I can't wait for the DVD.

I guess I am kind of alone in this in that I thought it really fell flat for the most part. Except for the turtles and the fish in the aquarium, I didn't really find myself laughing that much. Was just ok in my opinion and I wish I had waited until it came out on DVD or in the budget theaters. My kids wanted to go badly though and they both seemed to like it.

I guess it just didn't have nearly the amount of magic and humor for me that both of the Toy Story movies and A Bug's Life did. I'm not even that big of a fan of Monster's Inc. and I still like that one a bit better than Finding Nemo.

If you're talking about the credits, I'm glad someone here mentioned that they were worth sticking around for. I usually make a beeline for the exit once the credits begin to roll to avoid traffic. This time I stayed put and watched to the end. Nothing earth shattering but I did think they were amusing. The very end sequence I thought was OK but my kids could not stop laughing about it.

Hope I didn't give away too much...

I loved it. Thought it was even better than Monsters, Inc. Pixar never ceases to amaze with being funny, imaginative, and touching.

No, I think it is great that people say "stick around for the credits," but I don't think people should post what happens during the credits.

one of the best movies of the year (G-rated)...the preview didn't excite me when it was out a few months ago because they showed tiny snips that needed little set-up: Ellen saying, "what is it with men and asking directions" (not funny) and the turtle going "whoah, dude." But then I learned that Albert Brooks was Marlin so I got interested: one of my favorite movie lines it from The Twilight Zone Movie when he's in the car with Dan Ackroyd and says, "there could be nuns in the road." So the movie is really funny and clever, but unfortunately rated G, so you have to sit near 30 crying infants whose parents apparently have the ability to tune out their whining and screeching, but not you (me)....

Given that a lot of the wildlife, and the people were speaking Australian, I automatically thought the seagulls were going "mate, mate, mate, mate, mate" which sounded like the sound that seagulls make when you say "mate" repeatedly. That's what I thought.

No, they were saying, "Mine?"

Which, if you've EVER been to the beach and had to deal with sea gulls, you will find hilarious. (At least I did... I was the only one laughing in teh theater...)

no, i definitely think they were saying "Mine" which is pretty much the perfect thing for a seagull to say.

Loved the movie, but I have to disagree with everyone on THE TURTLES. Crash was totally anoying and the worst thing in the film. I realize he's there for the very youngest kids, but boy is he unfunny, dumb, and embarassing. Other than that the movie is 4 stars.

Good. I win the bet with my girlfriend.

We saw it at our local discount theater, and the sound system is pretty pathetic, so it wasn't too clear what was being said.

Loved this movie. This is the sound that the seagulls make when you go to the beach.

Also I was the only one in the theater that picked up on the shining joke.

For the sake of being picky, the turtles name was Crush.
I take it you didn't find Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High funny either. Maybe it's funnier for us because we live in a surfing community.

Would it have been too, "shoved down our throats" if they actually got Sean Penn to voice Crush? I mean, he only had a few lines right?

1. Spicoli is great because he's FUNNY and done 100% accurately
2. Crush (a thousand pardons) is NOT FUNNY because the imitation is way off
3. I don't want to say where I live, but it's southern CA and I'm less than 50 yards from the surfline. I know endearingly familiar (Spicoli) and I know stupid kiddie show anoying (Crush)

Definately the Jar-Jar of the movie. But I'm willing to overlook him because he's such a small part of it.

So what's the Shining reference?

I caught the 20,000 Leagues ("Whale of a Tale") reference and the great white shark's name is Bruce reference

When Bruce is chasing them in the sub, there's a part where he can't get thru one of the doors and he says "Here comes Brucey!" or something like that. The angle of the shot itself is similar to The Shining.

Well, just saw it and my response is 'meh'. It was good, I guess, but seems to lack any replayability. And I just couldn't get attached to the characters at all. I did laugh rather hard at times, though.

Anyway, I'll still probably snag the DVD as I am willing to bet it will be the reference transfer of the holiday season.

"Mine!" two cents:
The movie was awesome! I'll see it twice & buy the DVD.
The turtle (aka the director) was great.
Shame on you people who don't stay for credits. It's part of the $7+ you pay for the ticket. And the credit people deserve the respect. (also to moocher: if you stayed thru the credits wouldn't most people be gone? Therefore, no traffic? NO excuse ) )
