Asking the same question multiple times in multiple threads isn't gonna get you the answer any faster. I'm not at my computer 24 hours a day.

This is what I posted in the Simpsons thread:
I must've answered every one of these questions in my thread at least 100 times.

Read the TWEC Rebate Deal Thread that I maintain for details. The first post is always updated. I even posted a 9-step process in sending out the rebate form.

1) You can use the price sticker UPC instead of the real UPC
2) You can used the real receipt, a photocopy of the receipt, or a register reprint of the receipt.
3) You can use one rebate form for all of your items (Damien, I don't know why yours wasn't approved but if you made copies of them, a simple e-mail/phone call would've fixed the problem cuz you could've faxed it to them).

Look, if you guys don't believe me, then don't believe me, just don't ask the same question again and again and again. Remember, reading is fundamental, which means read through some of the thread before you ask the same question again.

**MAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING BEFORE SENDING REBATES IN**

Note: I don't work at FYE, I just buy tons of DVDs there (pretty much at least one every week cuz of the rebate deals). I've done over 50 rebate deals thus far and many of them were done on the same rebate form.

Sort of OT, but Coconuts (and probably Strawberries) has the Game Boy Advance SP for $99.99 with a $30 MIR ($69.99 total) today through Wednesday. This includes standard colors plus the new NES version. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone's in the market and going there for DVD's. Cheapest I've seen for a GBA.

And yes, I know this is a DVD forum, so hold the pomposity.

Here are some additional deals from the Strawberries/Coconuts ad. I'm pretty sure the boxset deals are the same at FYE, ymmv on the others.

50 First Dates: Get a $15 MIR when you purchase this and 1 other Adam Sandler DVD. See store for details. Don't know whether this can be combined with $10 MIR noted above.

Box Sets

Note: these are in addition to those already posted.

Simpsons, S4 36.99, Free Simpsons Bottle Opener with Purchase
(this 'sells' for $6.99 separately, it plays about a 10 second loop of Homer)
Indiana Jones 59.99 + tax - $20 MIR
Godfather 69.99- $20 MIR
Sopranos, S4 79.99-$20 MIR
Band of Brothers 99.99-$20 MIR
Curb Your Enthusiasm,S2 29.99

Also, not in the ad, but in store were numerous other box set rebates.

Alien $69.99 + tax - $20 MIR
Best of Ed Sullivan $10 MIR
Complete Mr. Bean $10 MIR
Family Guy 1+2 $10 MIR
Friends,S6,S7 $10 MIR
In Living Color, S1 $10 MIR
Johnny Carson Collection $20 MIR
Monster Legacy Collection $20 MIR
South Park, S3 $10 MIR

9.99

I think these are Strawberries, Coconuts specific, ymmv. These aren't that great anyway.

There's Something About Mary
Major League
The Natural
Blade
Deep Impact
MI 2(2 for $15 at CC this week)
We Were Soldiers
Empire
Monty Python's Meaning of Life
Traffic(2 for $15 at CC)
Austin Powers I
Final Destination
Training Day
Deliverance
Perfect Storm
Usual Suspects
Spinal Tap
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Some people who were denied rebates on Simpsons 1-3 at FYE mentioned something about a rebate on Season 4. Does anyone know exactly how much that rebate is for?

to my knowledge, there is no rebate for season 4. The only incentive for season 4 is the Homer Simpson Talking Bottle Opener.

Simpsons 4 doesn't appear on the regular rebate form for this week. It is possible that it's on a separate rebate form but unlikely since it's not advertised in the flyer with a rebate.

OK. I got an $8 rebate for The Cooler on Saturday. They got my first name wrong, so I guess that's why I was unable to confirm it online. However, even entering the incorrect name and my zipcode provides no tracking info. I'm gonna contact them about my $2, but for now I am just thankful I got the $8.

For anyone that sent a rebate for Show: Night in the life of Matchbox twenty (or any on the same rebate form) Could you give me the promotion code? I think its the number in the address to send the rebate to.

"Promotion code is located on the rebate form and starts
with 03- or 04- followed by five numbers"
Thanks

Yeah, it seems prices and rebate availability are varying between stores and location. I just talked to an FYE employee who said he had other people ask him about the $5 simpsons MIR and had read about it on a message board but their store had nothing for it. Also their price for 24 season 2 was 59.99 - 20 MIR=39.99 as oppsed to someone elses store who had posted $19.99 after MIR. Gettin' confusing, lol!

Strawberries

Simpsons Season 4, 36.99+tax - $10 MIR
Nip 'n' Tuck, S1 44.99 + tax - $10 MIR
Curb Your Enthusiasm,S2 29.99 + tax - $10 MIR

By the way, I got a peek at the preorder list while ordering Badder Santa, virtually every new release for the next few months(except multiple box sets, special editions etc) is 19.99 - $10 MIR, at least on a preorder basis.

I looked but couldn't find it anywhere in the store. Also, it wasn't on the rebate form. I really wanted it too...

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but I didn't see it on the first post. They've extended the rebates for Kill Bill, Vol 1. and the Last Samurai (FF & WS) until 06/30/2004. Each movie is $19.99 + tax ( minus $10 rebate ). If you missed out last month, get in now.

In regards to if rebates are applicable at all stores, this is db27's response, a manager of a FYE store.
I would love to chime in! You spoke to Liam, who is ltrain here on the forums.

I would love to chime in! You spoke to Liam, who is ltrain here on the forums.

This is the definitive answer, no questions or issues this is how it is.

In transworld they have many store brands as you all know. Some of the stores run what are call FSI promotions (free-standing inserts) these generally apply to non-mall stores but some (few) are on the program as well. If you have a store near you that runs any type of flyer in the paper they are on the program.

As an example Stevevt, our Coconuts is on the FSI program, while neither fye in the Burlington area is. Thus promotions vary from one to the other.

Liam was correct to say that your fye reciept and the rebate form that you got from fye wouldn't work, because the store number on the fye reciept identifys us as a non-FSI store.

By doing the exchange and getting the Coconuts reciept you seal the deal and your rebates will successfully be redeemed.

Let me know if I can help out further.

Does this vary by location? I called the local Coconuts (Cary, NC) and was told season 2 is $59.99 (on sale from $69.99) - same deal as FYE. I don't get the flyer so I cannot check it myself.

it may vary by location. The NYC region flyer had it priced like this.

Try calling up that store again and asking them if they have an advertisement for this week and to see if it's priced at $39.99 in the ad. If they don't have the ad, ask if it's possible to scan the item because you were told that it was on sale for $39.99.

it's in the first post of this thread
$19.99 + Tax - $10 MIR

If you pre-order it (I think by Saturday or Sunday), you get a free t-shirt when you pick up the DVD.
